I'm guessing this is what you are supposed to do, but it isn't working for me. I tried both from O to the X and the opposite. Am I being dumb?

Just keep clicking them randomly, it worked for me.

I remember people noticing that apple came out of the portal wrong, like a reversed mirror image. Since we now have 'mirrored' Wagstaffs that suddenly seems much more relevant.

I know that this probably implies sickness from going through the portal, but I'd like to imagine that it is because he bit a raw apple in the previous panels

Something's not working for me here.

I follow everything up to this step:

And then when I pull the lever further up, nothing happens.

What gives? It would appear as if me pulling the lever up to the 6th stage is simply not registered, as when I adjust the slider thingies it reverts back to the 5th stage.
