It would fill your inventory with petals when blooming. You can see how that would be annoying and why it never made it to the final product. Imo, it was one of Wormwood's better skills. Petals on demand, especially with how versatile they could be for him, made it a must-have for me. flamboyant wolf
Founder's Keepers 1, or Twintail heart 3. WINbots are great, and scanners can be quite nice in multiplayer, plus some free scrap is nice. Honorable mention to the whole WereMoose branch. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832477 Share on other sites

I like to use healing items over healing food usually (like that they don't perish), so that skill is quite a nice fit. Bellium
Walters twin twister skill, no matter if I spec into more slingshot and ammo or woby skills, making rope 30% cheaper and crafting 2x as fast adds up immediatly. Honourable mention to furry forager for making early game foraging more rewarding and harvesting bannas from base 2x as useful 3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832491 Share on other sites

Honourable mention to furry forager for making early game foraging more rewarding and harvesting bannas from base 2x as useful Furry Forager is great. Doubling the cactus that you gather is unbelievable. And blue caps. 30 sanity from 1 cactus plant? 40 health from picking a single blue mushroom? It's superb. I thought the Twine Twirler skill was decent until one of my friends pointed out that you hardly save on rope in the long run. As an example, let's say you have the skill and you make 200 bundling wraps. 200 grass saved! Until you realize just how much grass you can quickly amass with a Shadow Reaper and a giant grass field—or even better, a grass gekko farm. Sure you save on grass in the long run, and undoubtedly, fast crafting grass feels great, but it's hard to justify when you have such a wealth of quality skills to choose from in Walter's skill tree. Someone mentioned on here that Soul Jars is a really good skill, and I think I will have to go with that skill, too. Being able to hop from one side of the map is so powerful and will definitely spoil you! 4 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832494 Share on other sites
ShadowDuelist
Founder’s Keepers 2: I love the telepads. Even though I know they’re not the best teleport option, I really enjoy slowly building a network of teleport stations. They also let you transport a lot of stuff beyond your carrying capacity, which makes them unique. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832495 Share on other sites

Very good point, I feel like every scouting skill has it's place as a good option (apart from the hat lmao) to the point where you can take any one of them. I just enjoy twine twist because it's the most universally applicable/ useable skill there. Also big agree for Wortox on soul jars, doubling the amount of souls you can have in your invintory from each jar feels like such a QOL 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832507 Share on other sites

ToXic Cur3
My favorite branch is the entirety of Wilson alchemy skills and his affinity because the utility it has even if it's as simple as converting twigs into logs or a piece of meat into 2 morsels it's pretty convenient He also helps out all characters as well which I find useful such as warly, he can use bone shards for one of his dishes and hounds teeth will eventually be a material you will have a lot of so you convert it to shards then give it to a friend who is warly or swap to warly to make bone bouillon and since warly can make grim galette too with his shadow affinity you can convert pure horror into nightmare fuel even though it's not easy to obtain you can use it for that too Wormwood can benefit from Wilson transmuting gold into nitre to help with getting compost wraps if nitre is limited Willow can get beard hair from Wilson shaving it or converting beefalo wool into hair even if it's easy to get it saves a bit of time of looking for beardling while insane Wilson can skip a big part of the lunar questline by converting the gems into a iridescent gem to activate archives I can give some examples that would be a bit much to read but overall I like the skilltrees because it doesn't necessarily have to be so strong to make playing a character enjoyable sometimes simplicity is key and makes you find ways to use it outside of its intended purpose which is fine too Edited August 22, 2025 by ToXic Cur3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167650-what-is-your-favorite-skilltree-perk-out-of-all-of-the-skilltrees/page/2/#findComment-1832523 Share on other sites

Black_sand
It's a bit hard for me to choose. In fact, Willow, Wortox, Woodie and Walter's skilltrees are all very excellent. Willow's skilltree make her change to a fire mage, Wortox's skilltree give him two tendecies: team assistance and fight, it not only reflects the image of Wortox but also greatly enriches the playability of him. Walter's skilltree listens to the players and borrowed from many excellent mods like Uncompromising Mode and optimizes the gaming experience greatly. But for me I think Winona's skilltree is best. Her spotlight's reinforcement improves comfort in the early stages of game. Catapult's damage and hit range also enhances very much. Rose-Colored Glasses allow players to use wormhole to transport. The rose bridge encourages players to explore around, also fits the theme of looking for Charlie. Portasol gives player better shipping methods. Enlightened Shard's unlimited energy, Barrage and Enlightened Strike improves the quality of life in the late game a lot. It's very excellent.
