...So, what do I do with these.

So uh... yeah. This sucks. Had to deal with this exact thing in my nothing world. @WilsonHiggs suggestion of lureplants is the only feasible way to clean up large amounts of them, and the method I used way to place one a few tiles away and then patch up all surrounding bits of ground with turfs that eyeplants can't grow on, to focus their growing where the cards were. It'd probably help to have multiple.

In the future, only play the game via interacting with JIMBO from one angle, as the cards and loot spawn will always spawn in that direction. Probably not explaining that well; what I'm saying is that if you're standing to the east side while playing JIMBO, the stuff Jimbo spawns will appear to the east, and whatnot

I really hope they make these cards flammable...

That… or just give players a capped limit of how many they can earn.

Theres no reason to ever need more then a full deck of 52 playing cards, and why would anyone ever need so many duplicate records?

In case someone logs out while holding them, or they're lost to the void/lureplants I guess.

A better system would just be a toggle on the machine that can be set to enable/disable card/record drops.

There are tons of card games that require multiple decks of cards, and even in the ones that don't they're often played with multiple decks to make it harder to count cards.

If there's more than one player, or more than one place they want to listen to music?

I get all that… but wouldn’t it make more sense that if the player has already unlocked X Card or the music CD that instead of those things dropping Individually, that they could just drop together after the first unlock?

Like I mean currently since I haven’t played much I have J, K, 4, 1 that’s my entire card deck…

But it would cause significantly less lag if instead of being rewarded individual “cards” I got a pile of them (in this case the J, K, 4, 1 I already owned + the ones I’d get to add to that)

In other words: like a loot cache where prizes you’ve already won, won’t re-appear in the future loot pools.

Klei has done a lot to reduce lag over the years (making rot and be stingers disappear if left on the ground in the rain)

And lag is a huge issue for console players, so it seems weird they would not optimize Baltaro after having done previous work to lessen the same issue the Crossover reintroduces.

You can pick the cards as they are spawning, stack them into a deck and use the furnace to destroy them

This slows down the rate at which you can play by like 2-3x. The efficiency gained by just leaving them on the ground is absurd

Then deal with them... It was never meant to be efficient and it shouldnt since is really safe to use. A little of inconvenience for those who abuse it is kind of fair

I personally need hundreds, if not thousands, of cards and Balatro records.

What's so efficient about playing poker while stranded in a forest? Doing smth about cards seems like obvious QoL, but why would you even want to bash your head against the Balatro machine so often, and repeatedly to the point that this is an actual issue? You're kinda optimizing the fun out of something there isn't really an incentive to optimize.

After you survived all 4 seasons, the world won't just implode if you waste a little time messing around instead of being efficient.

You need to play JIMBO a ton in nothing worlds. Like a lot

You don't, nothing worlds have been a thing long before Jimbo. Even if you want to use Jimbo on them you don't need to use him to such a degree that being a little slower by picking up cards matters even remotely. There also isn't a whole lot to do on nothing worlds so it's not like the time spent picking up cards is slowing you down there, either.
