The Great Depths Worm spawn more often

@Джо, this is my little message and my indignation about one of the last bosses. I wish you'd give it to the developers and they'd at least review it. Even if nothing changes, I'd still appreciate it :)

I noticed that most YouTubers either skip it or wait a very long time, and that really upset me.

I believe that the chance of a worm should increase from 5% to 10-15%. I also think he could come up with a way to summon through a flare gun that would bother him. What do you think about this?

That thing has such low chance to appear as a drop. And besides, if you wanna use fossils as barricade, it won't work anymore.

In a regular cave size, you can get up to 50+ fossil fragments by simply mining the stalagmites.

you will get a couple fossiles from him because the drop chance is for each individual drop, of which there is alot

I'd imagine either some kinda big monster meat bait we could make or some sort of summoning thumper to attract a great worm into a location. I don't think flares are meant for underground, considering it's caves... on the other hand flares work in caves in long distances which is weird and goofy. Will depend if Klei gonna do something about it I guess.

again, the chance is still low (it's about 0.01% iirc) and waiting for 2 hours just for the confirmation for big worm to appear ain't worth it

Two hours for this is kinda dumb ngl. In a way, I feel like this boss's spawning mechanics feel really wrongly implemented for that it being a hound like wave instead of triggering it's spawning in some specific actions makes it more frustrating. I feel like this boss should spawn depending on high cave activity like mining, gathering, glow berry farming, being in ruins and so on.

Im not everyone and im sick of optional encounters. 1st time we get a new wave in the caves 

It being random rather than a consequence of being too greedy does really hurt new players as well given its as strong as 1-2 seasonal bosses and without bunnymen they will die simply approaching it.

Its a creative design, just one that feels almost completely outside the realm of rng or hidden counters. 
Really what I found was every time depths of duplicity did something, it was sort of almost out of place and caused entire lobbies of newer players to rage on levels that were much stronger than what you might experience seeing them interact with seasonal bosses.

Since the rabbit kings also sort of a gotcha that had a tendency to randomly wipe my newbie wigfrid and wx players as well when they just farmed basic morsels.

Don't Starve went from there being 4 threats & 0 videogame encounters to there being 2 threats & 1 billion videogame encounters. They should do the exact opposite of what you said and add more things that happen without you explicitly going out of your way to make them happen.

Apart from the original forced guaranteed spawn rates (which wasn’t meant to last out of release, it was moreso for testing), and the change for a player to need more than 28 survived days to start to spawn (like how the seasonal bosses are handled) they never dialed down the spawn rates at all. It’s always been a 5% increment up to 50%. The only issue was there was a bug that would outright reset the spawn chance, and that ended up getting fixed.

"Literally everyone" is a huge exaggeration, I only saw that suggestion a few times during the entire Depths of Duplicity beta and it would always get shot down by several more people saying they would hate it to be confined to an arena.

Huh guess I assumed wrong still wish it was more common feels so rare as is to naturally encounter.

It's more like they never based their home in cave for those who think the GDW should be appear more frequently by the routine raid.

The spawn chance of GDW should not be touched, the current stage is fine enough. But to make players could summon GDW and reset its' spawn rate by using flare gun would be better - if GDW have specific drops.

I base half year in the caves and only fought 1 because it spawned in the ruins before the nerfs 

I wonder how much tears would be dropped if bearger were added today

That because GDW had a spawn chance bug before.

They are not same. GDW brings no tear, it's quite EZ to kill it without any feeding in one wooden suit set without healing. GDW only brings time wasting and annoying.
