Ice crystaleyezer is kinda bad...

As late game item ice crystaleyezer sucks, polar bearger bin and howlitzer are so much better than it, there are better alternatives to prevent wildfires which don't freeze you to death and are cheaper like oasis and above average trees.

To make it better i have some suggestions:

increase its range,

make it prevent fire from occurring in its range,

reduce freezing because its too strong,

it should turn raining into snowing,

make it freeze water like crabking or Steve (frostjaw) arena,

make winona hotlight skill work in its radius,

make gloomthorn grow in its range in any season.

As it stands ice crystaleyezer is niche late game item only usable by wurt which is sad these changes are small but make it better.

  While I like ice crystaleyezer in its current form, I wouldn't mind adding the features listed above. It would also be great to consider another one. At the moment, it does not in any way prevent fire caused by a star after using star caller's staff.

Theres really a whole plethora of small tweaks/ideas that would make this thing awesome.

Personally i do think its underpowered currently, but not by much. I just think it needs something small

Wait, it doesn't already prevent fires from occurring? I thought that was the whole point of it aside from any-season ice production.

How is it uniquely useable by Wurt?

I never had issues with the crystaleyezer. It might be only mid in megabase protection wise and requires maintenance, but so does many other things and it's mostly just to make summer feel like winter.

I wear tamoshanter and have scaled furnaces prepped up so it would be more manageable. The protection it provides during summer is great, but there's also things like antlion to manage and outer range wildfires to handle. I personally love it.

I don't like that thing because I really don’t understand what it does, and what it doesn’t. The rules feel a bit all over the top, and it certainly doesn’t do a proper winter replication in its range. All I get from it is freezing because I don’t want to wear winter insulators during summer in some spaces and not in others, but I would use it for other applications if I was 100% certain this thing makes other parts behave as if it was winter. Rn it’s just confusing and unpractical to figure what I can use it for considering I'll need to reload the spark and all that if I destroy it because turns out what I wanted to do somewhere didn’t work.

Wurt can use sunfish for 5 or 6 days so you don't have any downside

Maybe I worded it badly but I mean that ice crystaleyezer as end game item is bad i don't have that much problem with his downside but it doesn't have much upsides over oasis and above average trees and for small bases ice flingo isn't so bad

Nope, the structure is good. Could perhaps use a minor tweak but not necessarily. It is good and quirky just like a well designed end-game item ought to be.

I like stuff having benefits and downsides, is more interesting than simply having ethernal solutions without futher player's imput than building it

I'd prefer if it would drop my temp to like 5 if I'm in the radius instead of going past freezing. I understand it's supposed to be a way to beat summer heat, but it makes the base just as, if not more unlivable in the summer if I have one of these active in my base.

It is a good oasis extension if you hate oasis itself imo. Cause I don't like living in oasis due to sandstorm and accidents I've had, oasis is powerful but I don't like it personally enough to want to make eye crystaleyezers, cave base or not be in my base during summer.

I mean, yea there are ways to deal with the crystalizer, but it's just trading my eyebrella for a beefalo hat.

I hate the icebergs...

The ice crystaleyezer looks beautiful itself. It's a very good decoration. But the icebergs will occupy too much space and I have to clear them using campfire from time to time. It will be a disaster for pastoral style of architecture.

And I agree with this one. If we want to put the ice crystaleyezer in our home, we have to place a lot of scaled furnaces to balance the freezing temperature. And too many scaled furnaces in our home looks ugly.

Compared with the other two items the bin and howlitzer, the ice crystaleyezer looks somewhat funny. The bin is a marvelous item during late game. The howlitzer helps consume the excessively accumulated hound teeth. But the crystaleyezer is so hard to use...

By the way I have another idea. What if we add some abilities to the ice crystaleyezer? Just like the deerclops during winter's feast. Make the ice crystaleyezer able to shoot red lazer. We can use it to defend hounds (it will cost too much, but I don't care, red lazer is awesome)

I always saw crystalizer as more of a way to prevent smoldering than as a way to keep the player from overheating.

ice crystalizer should freeze water around it, that way it could have an interesting use in making a minibase far out in the ocean.

Hotlight does work in its radius, Its keeps the temperature at like 35°, the only issue is that doesn't work on the inner ring with the frozen floor. But I have seen this because last endless I used only Winona and also one of my friends was playing her too

It only worked at night when I tried it, and the following morning it shut off again.
