Another void saddle that is focused on speed not combat

I wouldn't even be mad about that. Just go to the caves, farm batilisks and bundle up the wings. Or just collect wings from around your cave entrance.

An upgrade to the gloss saddle could be a Brightsmithy craft instead. 

I dont think late game saddles should be exclusive to one side. That would be like planar weapons  being exclusive to one side. 
 

Not saying it should require 68 of them, but Moon moth wings are the thematically perfect upgrade to butterfly wings. 
 

As a lunar themed utility saddle it could also incorporate stuff like sanity regen or light. And perhaps reflect damage to make Rider beefs less vulnerable when unmounted. 
 

a wildcard idea i had for an upgraded winged saddle like this is the ability to jump over small land gaps on a cooldown. 

I think the current saddle should be the definitive one for the game. At least for a few years. That's why it's so good in all stats (attack, defense and speed).

I don't think Klei will make a shadow version of the Polar Bearger Bin or a lunar version of the Nightmare Saddle.

The best item made with Spark Ark is Polar Bearger Bin and the best for Possessed Atrium is Nightmare Saddle. My opinion, of course.

Yeah, we don't need a better saddle than the nightmare one for a bit, but I would love a saddle that literally just had knock back resistance, heck, just add it to the Wigfrid saddle like her commander helm has. (I know the nm saddle has the thing you can remount instantly, but I don't want to be thrown off in the first place)

Many people like to talk about the "late game," but what if that part of the game ever stopped being late? In the future, it seems like players will demand more and more mind-blowing buffs from the developers.:-D

Maybe, but rift content is somewhere in the lategame where it's very unknown what Klei has planned for the future of the game and the threats that will make the world more dangerous overall. We got more exotic kinds of mechanics and threats now in the game, it's exciting what will we get next.

I think the main thing is not to overdo it with item buffs. We still have to see the interaction of the moon and shadows, and we also need to survive until the planar final bosses.
