Malfario Posted August 10, 2024 Share Posted August 10, 2024 I just hope we get the next tier of rift weapons, i dont necesary want both shards to have the same mechanics with different aesthetics, i am fine with the mutations being lunnar exclusive and the shadows having something completly new. Thinking about specifics of the update makes my mind fly into a sky of posibilities, maybe the sinkholes will now become a threat to avoid so we have to be catious when standing under their light, maybe the nightmare cicle will affect more byomes, we will get new bosses ? But Klei is full of talent and i know they will come up with something better than everything i just said. douan33 Posted August 10, 2024 Share Posted August 10, 2024 Cave biomes are suuuuper empty. You do not have to visit any biomes unless it is for ruins or celestial champion. Even playing Wilson now can make you skip ruins entirely for post-riff items (for whatever reason). They should add content to biomes and not just new monsters. Klei should've realised by now that even though they added bazillion of new late game content people always go into the caves, find mud biome, clear ruins then get out; then get into activate rifts and that's it. With all due respect i think thats a lot of thought for something that hasn´t even been added yet, a lot of "assuming the worse", we dont even know what the future weapons will be like if we ever get them in the first place, we already have weapon tiers, and the inclusion of the new rift tier (after it was reworked adding the repair kits") has been an incredible adition. Wigfrid´s skilltree gives me hope that next tier of weapons will include weapons with special move which would be greatly apreciated. Guano biome could have a bat boss. Same thought process with the bridge blueprint. Shadowy depht worms after rifts with a dark glowy effect same as the new trees. I don't like ocean uwu Rock lobsters reealy obsolete right now. Somehow, something. Possessed forms for them would be nice. I would say that's a really good opportunity to add a renewable way to get fossils once we don't have it so far. Plus it’s always fun to see my favorite games promoting and supporting each other. Heck they could have this both be a normal boss you could find there, and then turn it into a rift boss only if acid rain is active considering bats get all aggressive when that's happening. I would like it if it was a mini boss that spawned throughout the biome. We havent got a survival based boss in ages. The last one was the lord of the fruit flies, and before that the malbatross since they both will often interfere with you, though they arent strong at threatening your survival, and the fruit fly is mostly just to give farmers a reality check and stop them from being pacifists. I don’t know, but I’d write it from a lore narrative as the more intense earthquakes rattling the caves so hard that things buried in its layers of ceiling were starting to break loose or even things from the surface shard are starting to fall into the caves. like for example it would be hilarious if instead of boring boulders, cave quakes can also drop a sleeping Tallbird that wakes up angry, and if it’s raining acid… maybe that can also mutate it or something to have a new “Acid Caves Variant” I Don’t know, I just really love the idea of that Concept. Klei’s new night vision fruit is actually an excellent example, the survivors are scavenging for food anywhere they can find it, they try a new fruit and Wolfgang ends up going into a creepy animation. Now imagine animals that had a environment they were used to knowing how to survive in, and then suddenly their thrown into a new environment or their environment changed with new weather. Its like the Lunar Hail and Moonstorms, this doesn’t really cause any actual impact to the world AROUND you… and that’s just not even slightly how things work in the real world… If it started raining Acid, we’d learn to build acid proof shelters, we would preserve our wildlife by trying to shelter their habitats. Flora & Fauna would adapt to their new environment, or they will Perish.
