An entire year later.. 3 of 4 promised updates, (with some lovely surprise bonus additions to Hallowed Nights & WintersFeast) Longer time taken between new content, and here we are..

I am a bit worried that I’m watching the early stages as the game starts dying, but other than that.. I guess it was a “Decent-ish?” Year.

Hopefully the 2025 Roadmap is full of exciting updates, projects & announcements.

I mean it’s already been revealed (By Netflix) that DST would be offered on Netflix games for mobile platforms someday.. so uhh… whatever happened with that?

AND if this means that the game is offered through Netflix Subscription, does this ALSO mean that Netflix has agreed to Green Light a DST Netflix Animated Series? Hmm..

It is unlikely that there will be a series on DST.

Well Deadcells is playable on Netflix gaming as well as Sonic Mania and both of those had shows on Netflix, even if the series didn’t last long, the games are still playable through Netflix. Klei has a back catalog of hours worth of animations from just their animated short series alone so, they have something to work with out the gate.

This *should* be an interesting Roadmap this year, cause if I’m doing my math correctly it’s the official 10 year anniversary of DST.

When they did the 10 year anniversary of Dont Starve they celebrated with a HUGE update to the base game, and the three DLCs RoG, Shipwrecked & Hamlet.

I would not be surprised in the slightest bit if Klei announces for their DST 10 year anniversary huge exciting things like Netflix series, or SW/Ham expansion compatibility, or even the return of Gorge and Forge as permanent modes we can host for ourselves.

I doubt Klei will just let the 10 year anniversary of DST be Medicore compared to what they did for Dont Starves 10yr Anniversary.

Can't wait for the new roadmap! I really enjoyed qols and rift content updates. I hope for more content for lunar rifts (lunar hail protection new mutated mobs) and new qol mechanic for existing items/structures like burning items in scaled furnace =)

i just got the scaled furnace for my world and its pretty nead to have a dumpster just wish that either it had more squares or you could cook thermal stones by pressing the button maybe make it so you add a burnable item you can insta turn it into ash

It was my first year in the game so i didn't knew sorry..

Multiversus was just announced to be discontinuing support after SS:KtJL discontinued support earlier last month. I don’t know what’s going on over at Warner Bros but it’s not looking pretty.

I just hope Klei has no plans to discontinue support for DST anytime soon, cause I just got into both SSKJL and Multiversus & they’re both dead in the Water.

Shame too.. I really enjoyed the Super Smash Bros Knock-Off that was MV.

That said: I hope Klei tells us in advance that they’re discontinuing DST.. :(

Klei is not discontinuing support until people stop buying skins. Long as the money keeps rolling in they will drop their updates.

They have a huge playerbase in china and russia, they're almost too big to fail at this point, hence why we see a drop in quality because they can afford to take that luxury now.
