Valase Posted October 7, 2023 Share Posted October 7, 2023 I've made a pen for all of the tallbirds in my world, thinking that BShades would spawn target and kill them, but later I discovered they do not target each other. Do you guys have any suggestions to what to do with them now? The image is weirdly cropped to not show some beta stuff). GelatinousCube Posted October 7, 2023 Share Posted October 7, 2023 I made a pen with 12 with 4 Houndius Shootius placed behind walls in a safe spot. I walk in the middle section (where the Houdius are) and get the Tallbirds to aggro on me then the Houndius destroy them over a couple mins - 24 meat and 12 eggs each time. Sometimes if I haven't visited it in a while I get a ton of extra morsels/meat from them killing their offspring as well. There is a short wait while the Houndius kill them off but its well worth it. Good Idea, I think that I will make a Winona setpiece in the middle for that! Yeah I think Houdius are safer (although less damaging) for this reason, if you can afford to spare 4 or so. Baark0 Posted October 7, 2023 Share Posted October 7, 2023 Get houndius to kill them for you, the tallbird egg crockpot recipe is one of the best recipes in the game, the only draw back being how rare tallbird eggs are. Since you have 8 though, I'm fairly certain you can live entirely off of this recipe, as you have 16 days worth of food and tallbird eggs (should) respawn before those 16 days are up. If you get the new portable fridge when the beta releases, you'll never have to worry about food again.
