It would be funny to fufill the demands of those who think there is by adding downsides to eating too much. Those who starve all the time wont need to worry. Mike23Ua Posted September 4, 2023 Share Posted September 4, 2023 I’m playing a game called Darkest Dungeons, it is highly important that I mention this very specific game… because it was funded by Klei & even has their logo as a special thanks at the start up screen. Anyway Darkest Dungeons, in Addition to having a Torch/Darkness Mechanic, actually DOES have an Eating Limit. See, in that game eating food stuffs will heal up your party members after battle, BUT they also get “Full” and won’t eat anymore. Even if your party in Darkest Dungeons are on the brink of death.. they can only “eat” Aka Heal, as until their bellies are full. Or for you modern day kids… It’s like trying to give Grandpa more Blood in the Texas Chainsaw game “Grandpa isn’t hungry right now” I think healing from eating foods in DST is a mechanic that really needs tweaking, this is a survival game… but a couple Perogi refill every status bar I have that’s draining. Personally I’d love for foods to get nerf’d in some way… so that actual healing tab items can take their proper place in the spot light. Im Old school… im from the days of combining green herbs with red herbs in Resident Evil to get a “good” healing item. Judging by how KLei Forums seem to also be subject to some "DDoS-ing", perhaps that's the current case: disgruntled for-whatever-reasons trolls doing bot-spam shenanigans to create problems for KLei. I get that i should make less random threads like this and i understand you for that- for mainly my sake- but i dislike that you conjured a flase statement that painted me as some nomad bad-intent spammer who formely roamed discord, and have you portray it as something i was know for. Getting accused for something you didn't do and everyone believing it is frustrating. I don't want any harm to anything, and that is not my viewpoint. Food solves almost every problem you can have within the game, including Hunger, Health, Sanity, & Temperature. It is therefore reasonable to assume that Food is indeed OP and could reasonably use some form of Nerf, because what kind of game would DST be if managing all your status bars was do-able with one little Super Pill? AND Since Klei helped to fund Darkest Dungeons- I think a reasonable “Nerf” would be to just like with that game- not allow them to eat when full. I’d even go so far as to give them all unique quotes (or in Wes’s case a unique animation..) to express that they are full..
