is there a way to find tier 3 spider nests early game without webber?

besides the queen's gathering setpiece and webber, is there a way to get spider nests tier 3 before day 10?

There's the spider quarry where they start at tier 2 but otherwise I don't believe so.

I don't see much info on the set pieces that the Conspicuous Chest (with the Terrarium) can spawn in, but I want to say that maybe one of the set pieces can spawn with a tier 3 Spider Nest? If not, then it's similar to the Queen's Gathering piece where it's tier 2. But there are several different layouts for this particular setpiece so it doesn't seem very reliable.

I think there can be a t2 spider nest with the terarria chest sometimes, and I think in the caves you can find t2 spider nests at start.  That is probably going to be your best way without getting queen's gathering or using webber.

From what i recall increasing "Fallen Survivors" setting not just increases chances of the random skeletons with loot apprearing but also affects the setpieces generation.

Crank it up to max and you will get high chance of Spider Quarry and such appearing in your world. Among other things.

Since i started setting mine Fallen Survivors to max. Lots of various setpieces started spawning  in my worlds.

Some even that i never had seen before due to how rarely they spawned otherwise.

Fact about spider den growth:

• Spider den take 5~10 days to grow to lv 2, and 5~10 days to grow to level 3.
• Spider den will only grow when you loaded them atleast once. (example, if there are 30 spider den in spider quarry, all of them will stay in tier 1 forever unless you load them)

If you want a tier 3 den in around day 10 without set pieces make sure:

1. On day 1, load as much spider den as possible. 2 biome with good amount of spider den are forest biome (include moonstone) and spider quarry.
2. Remember all location with high spider den density, and often visit them to make sure they level up, 
3. If you visit them every 5 days, let say there are 10 dens in moonstone, and 20 dens in spider quarry, on day 5 (only work if you already load them on day 1), on average, 2 den on moonstone will grow to level 2, and 3 den on spider quarry will grow to level 2. On day 10~11 (when you expect to have one tier 3 den), on average one of those 5 tier 2 spider den will grow to tier 3 nest.

It reminds me of a spider factory, in which you can freeze and unfreeze the same Spider den to quickly make a tier 3 and even spider queen.

I don't know if my words are understandable. It is just a factory, not so much unpopular.

 

If that mechanics still works, I suggest you quickly get 15 ice to make a freezing machine.

It still works, but only in spring.
