I’m still hoping the next update isn’t just character skill trees, that type of content is great- but only if you enjoy playing that character.. I’d prefer that skill trees or perk tweaks released side by side with new content all characters can enjoy.

Such as how Webber got Water Gliding Spiders as a Hireable Mob with Water Logged update while it gave everyone else a new sea mob to fight. He can also Hire Spider Queen Nurses by first catching them in a rabbit trap, carrying them away from the Queen- Dropping them on the ground, and feeding them meats to hire. No silly Switcherdoodle cookies required.

For everyone not named Webber- It made the spider Queen boss more Dangerous with Healing Spiders.

Reap What You Sow completely redesigned the games farming system, but also gave Wurt & Wormwood some of their best tweaks.

I initially took this as "from beyond will be composed of 3 updates," but considering we're 3 updates in and not a lot has happened, I assume it means that this is instead referring to alignments.

But that raises another question - what is the third part? Lunar, Shadow &... What?

Is it referring to skill spotlights, or a as-of-yet unimplemented neutral component?

It definitely was the 3 updates thing but they also said that they'll do updates until they are happy with how it is iirc

Actually its probably referring to a set of updates, like "a new reign."

So From Beyond, Part 1 Is the initial rifts opening, with the previous updates + one shadow update.
Part 2 is probably the start of the different rifts interacting.
Part 3 is a finale involving both rifts, and maybe a new shard/event.

they did mention that it will be lunar - shadow - connecting the 2 (mixed)

Last skill tree update added pillars, a new umbralla ability, acid rain changes, and probably some other stuff im forgetting. I think there will be some good qol added hopefully

Well hopefully we'll see the counter mechanic for hail that's for creatures

I don’t want a “counter mechanic” I want Klei to instead take the extra amount of time to give the mobs new behaviors that will effect Gameplay in a bigger more significant way then just- “Build this tent for your pets to hide in”

I want them to be like how Rabbits are in Spring Season when there’s eternal Rainfall they’re dens get sealed off and they stop spawning for the season.

Lunar Hail & Acid rain come and go as periodic weather events- And that should equally effect the world and mobs around them…

Maybe Acid Rain can for example: fall onto Rock Lobsters and Enrage them because it’s burning into their rocky layers.

Perhaps Klei can even get Creative by letting them burrow into the ground till the rain stops (Bunnymen even have burrowing animations from the Year of the Bunny Event)

But it should NOT be a dumb one Craft fix solution….

I want the new weather to actually feel like new weather… perhaps a mob that stays hidden all the time, comes out to dance in Lunar Hail (like Glass Rock Lobsters)

Please let’s not rush to get the mob behaviors that are meant to “counter” Hail & Acid Rain.

Klei needs to actually put in the extra effort to make the world feel alive and full of intelligent (& not so intelligent) Wild Life.

During the Rhymes with Play Streams, they clarified on this. It was to be 3 updates, but they said they'd extend it until they felt the community, and themselves, were happy with the arc.

i hope that is true because is getting the tendency of just moving on when ever they feel like they wasted enough time with an update

brightshade shovel being underwhelming (the only upside is how cheap has become repairing it due to bs infestation..) instead of giving a good use as the community suggested, Wolfgang's and Wilson's skill trees being bland and boring, sea lacking content, CK being a mess for solo and having bland personalization and no loot to repeat the fight, moonstorm and moon island mutations limited to 2 mobs, walter (seems like they will ad a bandage to fix him instead of fixing+adding a skill tree), pirate's stash deleting items for no good reason, pearl's bottle treasures being bland and having a cap of 4 at a time (srly, wtf), etc etc etc

Tbh it is kinda dumb. It hurting creatures does nothing survival wise but kill friendly fruit flies specifically. It is better the way it is now imo.

Yeah, make rabbits run into their dens during hail.

cant way to see the result of such waste of time for such stupid mechanic that brings anything other than free loot and limits on building

it only had those because the gear at launch was so boring and so grindy to the point it was a full on punishment to activate rifts because none of the gear was actually worth the threats and annoyances introduced.
