I mean you do quite literally get the crown right before you are supposed to activate the rifts, so I don’t see why giving it planar damage would be a significant issue. I don’t personally mind too much now since the damage from the crown isn’t nearly as handicapped as other sources since the formula change (IIRC it’s ~30 damage from 42.5), but I wouldn’t mind it being able to always do 42.5 damage. Frosty_Mentos Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 I don't see a reason to why it shouldn't have some planar damage, considering that it's a late game item that needs sanity to upkeep. Could have same damage, but some planar damage to add to that planar penetration incase of fighting new or current mobs with armor or planar defenses. It sucks that it doesn't have that going on already though, it could be a weaker penetrating alternative while remaining solid when fighting anything else in the world. Aka Toadstool is probably the only mob that gains defense stats and having planar damage to pass through it's defenses could be neat even if the fight itself going to be gruesome without getting rid of it's trees.
