Does that mean I should make it so they can only be placed on sticky webbing

I mean it’s be nice to be forced to make it next to a spider nest or unlock another separate skill to place it.

True but I figured since it’s being pulled from someone else’s Webber skill tree and they had made it all three bugs what’s wrong with a little extra utility so what do you think?

I still think the same thing. If you want to add that then sure but I don’t see how that’s useful to Webber’s kit or skills and also removes the need for the early uses of bug nets without a need for it.

So should I remove this part of the description of homemade  dens

Yeah.

What do you need help with specifically?

Wait if we have one skill to craft it why would we need another skill to to place it (also in case it wasn’t already clear what inspired this idea is star craft Zerg structure placement)

Ok, I figured removing the need for crafting a bug net would be a bonus since it makes things more efficient

Also, do you think I should add them not being afraid of him anymore to the skill as well as the scale changing his quote for butterflies in the item form?

Formatting the ideas also, do you think I should add being able to eat Dorians without damage to the no picky eater skill since it’s a monster food and he’s a monster? What do you think I should just keep that skill the same?

idk what that is but what idea are you talking about that was inspired by that?

So are you gonna let him catch bees and fireflies too or just butterflies?

I don’t think it’s needed cause the butterflies aren’t friends with Webber like wormwood. And either way you’ll still catch them.

What’s the problem with what they already wrote? It’s a bit long but they state what it’s based off and what it would do. Not sure as spiders do only eat meat but idk if it hurts other monsters like depth worms and it also affects Woby from what I read, though it won’t have that much of an impact as durians don’t grant a lot of hunger compared to other foods.

StarCraft is a video game where throughout the game you play as three fractions as different chapters of the game and one of the chapters you play as a fraction called the zerg

For the Zerg, most structures can only be built on "creep," a purple, fleshy biomass that spreads from certain Zerg buildings, like the Hatchery.

Expansion is key: Zerg players must strategically expand their creep with structures like Creep Tumors to gain ground and vision.

Off-creep construction: The main Zerg base structure, the Hatchery, can be built anywhere, but the rest of their buildings are restricted to the creep.

I made a few alterations to their ideas cause there’s no crafting recipe for  switcherdoodle or a name for each of the spiders also if I’m remembering right they didn’t say how much health they have or damage they do

I actually don’t know. Let me know if you have any ideas.

I had an idea for a spider sack backpack that webber could make out of a spider sack that would have inventory slots that could fit both items AND large amounts of spiders. There are certain slots in it that would accept either items or spiders and then there would be an extra amount of slots that would only accept spiders. If you right clicked it in your inventory or right clicked yourself then you would use it like a bush hat or a snurtle shell. Doing that would have all the spiders inside crawl out one at a time at quick pace. If you use a webby whistle while wearing the spider sack backpack then all of your tamed spiders would run to you and enter the backpack automatically until it is full or there are no more spiders. The backpack starts at "level 1" and has 2 regular inventory slots and 4 spider only slots, but you can upgrade it by using web on it while it is on the ground. After giving it 5 web it will grow to level 2 which would have 4 regular inventory slots and an 6 spider slots. Another 8 web will turn it to level 3. At level 3 it can fit 6 regular inventory slots and 8 spider only slots and also gains the ability to make the area around you sticky when you hide in it and making spiders automatically attack anything standing on the sticky turf as their first priority.

We kinda did something similar with these two things

Travel den: It’s a large backpack like item with 4 or 6 general slots, and a hidden 20 slot storage for spiders that can be opened like a polar bin. It also has the down side of slowing you down 10% Along side the general backpack slots there are 2 specialized slots with one containing healing glop for incredibly faster healing regeneration and the other slot is for storing spider food so they Don’t Starve. You can also use your webby whistle to call them out for battle or to call them back in in emergencies or to quickly heal or to just travel with them. It would cost 12 silk, 4 paper

(Original idea and Art by @blacknight7890, I edited in the flag)

  • Unnatural brood: You are now able to craft the itsy bitsy nest reusing the baby spiders from the forge and they fill up a Polar Bearger Bin like item called the itsy bitsy nest and they would act as distractions somewhat like the parasitic shading  but the victim wouldn’t be immune to damage you decide if,when, and how many you takeout at a time also depending on what beard skin you have on will determine what they look like  they would look like tiny versions of what spiders from a den that has a queen that looks like that beards respective Webber skin as well as the egg sack having the same color, you get 6 slots with 12-20 second cool down until you can spawn the next one and they would do 9 damage(18 if you feed them electric milk),have 7 hp, upon death one will respond every 90 seconds

(You need this to craft the 3 care crafts and after the first 4 uses you need to replace the den decorating set for five more uses each time you run out)

1 spider egg, 1 den decorating set,24 health

Concept examples:

(like this except they smile like befriended spiders)

But this interests me feel free to go more in depth or craft form with description also if the spider egg sack is used. I definitely want to integrate the spiders from the Forge in someway, but this time make it six because you are how many spiders come out of tier one done normally plus the emergency ones and one spider queen to be then you get six and if we’re upgrading the done, maybe the amount of Forge spiders should increase to the amounts that are in the upper tiers of a spider den

I just thought it was based off Wurt’s structures having to be placed on marsh turf.

The bees pollinate flowers aka butterflies is one guess. Another one is that butterflies are kinda like plants cause wurt can eat them and they turn into flowers and they like flowers which wormwood is. Maybe it’s a combination of all those reasons.

I have 2 ideas for the lunar spider:

A spider that grows protection that scales with how much it’s been hit by growing moonrock on its body, not sure how to describe exactly how I’m imagining it. This ability is also affected by the moon phase and shadow alligned attacks. It looks like the moon bound skin for Webber but more purple like moonrock.

The second idea came to me kinda as a joke but it’s basicly psychic damage. They attack using their mind and focus an attack with lunar energy against a target which takes around 4 seconds. The idea just came as I was typing this so I haven’t thought it through much but if you’re interested in it I could try to think more about it.

Also both spiders would use moonrock in their switcherdoodle recipe. And another idea if we did go the shattered spider route was to be able to use moonrock in the recipe for shattered switcherdoodles.

The first idea just sounds like planar entity protection but with extra steps also I’ve been thinking about it and since wurts affinity followers aren’t corresponding to that triumphant or moon bound skins I don’t think we should make them look like the moon bound skin

would the second idea work like warbot’s beam attack and sure

I know you’re set on having moonrock be part of the crafting recipe but the devil seemed to not be able to pick whether or not they want to have the two side mirror each other or have them be two separate yet opposing sides and I’m guessing your idea for the shadow side is nightmare fuel and nightmare fuel already has a equivalent and infuse moon glass or just regular moon glass one of the two so please pick either two things from each side that don’t have equivalent or pick one pair of equivalents

3 silk and 2 monster meat for the orb weaver and green huntsman spider, and the black widow would get 3 monster meat and 2 silk along with the fruit/veggie they suggested. I don’t feel like rewording/formating all of that and don’t know what stats to give them but I’d suggest the usual 20 dmg.

Not really, it’s like built in armor that gets stronger when hit more but after sometime it weakens and then repeats. Though they would still be able to fight. So what do you think the spider should look like?

No, its like the spider focuses the attack and then an attack that looks similar to the effect you get when you hit a planar entity without using a planar weapon.

What do you mean at the part after the word devil.

So you’d be fine using moon shards in 2 different recipes and nightmare fuel as moon glass and nightmare fuel are pairs and we wouldn’t be changing the shattered spider?

I’d be OK using infused moon glass shards but not reusing the normal ones

if we’re going to change the shattered spiders at all, you could either be them breaking out their rock covered bodies, like clockwork still out of those clockwork statues during new and full moons or have you dip them in a moon dial turning into the shadow and lunar alignmentspider types turn opposite phases of the moon

Also I just had the idea of the totem of kinship that makes it so spiders get a damage buff and works like the friendship totem but it only affects spiders active in combat

What does that have to do with kinship

Could you explain the part the I quoted above the question you responded to with this?

We could always go with dark petal and lune blossoms

I would rather not because it’s not a major material in the lunar/shadow quest line and has no connection to Webber.

Their kinship with each other because they’re spiders would give them the strength to help each other. That’s my logic atleast.

Also can you explain what you mean with those 3 quotes without a response?

Very much one of the few things that I don't like about the game's canon or the direction DST went in in general, indeed. But to me it seems you are doing your best with YOUR IDEAS for the game nevertheless!

All major materials in the lunar/shadow quest line are late game and it doesn’t have to do with Webber it’s an ingredient in a switcherdoodle which does have to do with Webber

The first quote was form you and the last 2 were the responses someone suggested an idea in the first of the 2 the the one after that is some alterations I would make

The part I’m talking about comes from this whole quote below:

And it’s the quoted section below. I couldn’t fully understand. But I don’t think it’s important now.

I meant materials often used in and associated with lunar/shadow stuff and that originate from one of those two sides. When I said related to a character I meant in special cases where it naturally makes sense.

What just we make it other than nightmare fuel and Moonrock

So what do you think of the idea?

There’s moon glass but the shattered spider already uses it. So not sure.

I thought I already told you what I thought? In the quote below.

Maybe we should focus on changing the shadow side to find something without an equivalent so moon rock can be used on the lunar side

Idk if there is another shadow equivalent for moonrock.
