It seems similar to the travel den but with a few large changes.

Could you make the edits to the idea so it is cohesive when I add it to the skill tree

But if we find something from the shadow side, that doesn’t have an equivalent

The only two that I can think of are thulecite and living logs. But both don’t make sense because they’re both related with the lunar side and thulecite is ruins tier. Maybe living logs but it still feel a bit strange to use that for a shadow spider.

So you want me to make a final version/edit of the idea?

Yeah, I want you to edit in the changes to the idea as well as the stats and respawn time from unnatural brood as well as the stuff that makes the container a portable crafting kit so I can still be used to crafter care crafts

I’m unsure what you mean by the unnatural brood part. Also I don’t think we need to add any new ideas to it but I have an idea for how the healing and hunger slots would work.

It’s healing slot would work like this: Whenever a spider needs to heal, the den will consume a healing glop and be able to heal all injured spiders by 10 hp per second upto 10 times per healing glop. If 10 hp over heals a spider, any extra healing will not be recovered. Any healing rounds unused will be kept until the next need for healing, and healing glop will only be consumed if there are no healing rounds left.

It’s hunger slot would work like this: After 5 seconds, any meat item placed in the hunger slot will be consumed by the den at added to a stored hunger stat. Its maximum is 500 and will stop consuming food if it’ll go past this limit. While this stat is above 0, every spider in it will not starve and reverse spoilage like fish in a tin fish n bin. Although every spider in the den will drain the hunger by 0.25 hunger per second.

Ik that healing glop heals for 80 hp and you can change it if you want but I did it for convenience as that means less healing glop used.

Also what if you made the itsy bitsy nest heart shaped with black colored sides.

Also I’d rather not retype or reformat ideas that aren’t mine like this anymore so please don’t ask for that anymore. I’d still be willing to suggest changes or stats if there’s something I can think of.

  • Unnatural brood: You are now able to craft the itsy bitsy nest reusing the baby spiders from the forge and they fill up a Polar Bearger Bin like item called the itsy bitsy nest and they would act as distractions somewhat like the parasitic shading  but the victim wouldn’t be immune to damage you decide if,when, and how many you takeout at a time also depending on what beard skin you have on will determine what they look like  they would look like tiny versions of what spiders from a den that has a queen that looks like that beards respective Webber skin as well as the egg sack having the same color, you get 6 slots with 12-20 second cool down until you can spawn the next one and they would do 9 damage(18 if you feed them electric milk),have 7 hp, upon death one will respond every 90 seconds

(You need this to craft the 3 care crafts and after the first 4 uses you need to replace the den decorating set for five more uses each time you run out)

1 spider egg, 1 den decorating set,24 health

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t how it would work already covered by the original idea

Sry, I meant I didn’t know what changes/edits you wanted me to make related with the unnatural brood.

It was a suggestion for the design of baby spider sack. Not sure how else to describe the idea better.

From the post you wanted my thoughts on. The one that was similar to the travel den idea but with some additional features.

I don’t think they described specifics, and I swapped spider chow for any meat.

What I’m confused about is what do you mean by black colored sides

I could understand the crafting station part but a bit confused as to how the cooldown part would work and I’m assuming you want an electric damage buff using the milk on the travel den though I’d need more clarity.

The edge of the heart would be surrounded by a thick black outline that’s larger enough to be part of the design and noticeable but not that it covers most of the heart as that’s supposed to be white silk.

The outline would be similar to spider fur but not fur. And the color design is supposed to be similar to spider queen and her colors (minus the claws and mouth.)

I’ll probably go in a different direction with the design

What you mean with the electric damage. I assume you mean giving them electric damage when they enter the den and it’s charged with milk, though I’m not 100% sure that’s what you had in mind.

The original idea was to feed the milk to the baby spiders individually infusing them with unnatural energy with it working in reverse of what happened to human Webber and the spider but on a smaller level manifesting in gameplay as doubling there damage but I like the idea of charging the den to give the spiders an electrical buff that adds an equal number of electric damage on top of the normal damage better

I still need to come up with one more skill

The travel den and the itsy bitsy nest would not be merged with some changes once everything gets formatted so we would have to replace it as part of the care crafts probably with the second totem that you mentioned if you wanna go more in depth with it or wanna say what you already said because I could use a refresher on what it does again

And I also need help wording the names, numbers of ingredients, and abilities of the new switcher doodles from the garden spiders skill

The kinship totem would work by increasing the damage of every spider based on how many spiders there are. I was thinking it could max at 20 or 30 spider and every spider connected adds 0.5 damage. It only affects spiders who are participating in combat. Maybe it could also work with planar damage from planar spiders although I’m not sure about that.

Idk much about those spiders but I tried to come up with some names.

White wilters for garlic spiders

Bushy settlers for watermelon spiders

and Pest watchers for the tomato spiders.

you could try to turn those into other names but those are my thoughts on the spiders.

How much monster meat, silk, and respective crop should be in each of the recipes

You could push it to 2 crops each and the garlic and tomato spiders could have 2 monster meat and 3 silk while the watermelon spiders use 3 monster meat and 2 silk.

Also, what amount of damage should they do and how much health should they have?

Maybe 400 for the garlic and 200 for the watermelon and tomato spiders. 20 for all of them as that seems to be the default.

I know you already gave me potential names for them but do you have any other idea for what to call the tomato spiders

Hey @Creatingabe1125 I’ve been thinking of changing the tomato spiders secondary ability from tending to plants to either making plans ignore the family mechanic we’re making a web board that functions as an artificial sun so you can for him in the caves without having to constantly replace the dwarf star some other options in order, ignoring the killjoy mechanic or the seasons mechanic. Let me know your thoughts and if you don’t like the current ideas, let me know if you have any ideas

Never mind I know what I’m gonna have them do

@Creatingabe1125 here’s what I got so far

  • Garden spiders:

(create three new types of switcherdoodles with corresponding new spiders)

Squirter:  Green Huntsman Spiders have a green grassy pattern almost akin to a watermelon, and use this as camouflage to hide in the foliage and ambush prey that wanders by. In DST, maybe they could be commanded to stay in one spot with lots of plants. When you check in on them later, they may give you some morsels or meat, letting you have a share of whatever animals they were catching offscreen. Their switcherdoodle could be made from watermelons, like the pattern on their abdomen. Attacks by shooting water out its mouth that can also water crops

Switcherdoodle: 3 monster meat, 2 silk, 2 watermelon (20dmg, 200hp)

Hydrolysis spider: Black Widows are an infamously venomous spider, able to paralyze and even LIQUEFY their prey, which ranges from small insects all the way to larger animals like lizards and snakes. Coincidentally, the appearance of their eggs is often compared to garlic cloves! In DST, this paralyzation could be implemented in many ways, the easiest being putting mobs to sleep for a few seconds, allowing the other spiders a chance to heal and get in a bunch of damage before they wake back up, with a heavy cooldown following that so they can't just put a mob to sleep over and over. Their switcherdoodle could be made from garlic, like how their eggs look. It can fertilize crops with the liquid remains

Switcherdoodle: 2 monster meat, 3 silk, 2 garlic (20dmg, 400hp)

: Orb Weavers are commonly found on garden plants, and build large circular webs to catch pests. In DST, maybe they could make webs in your gardens to trap the Lord of the Fruit Flies, or even Brightshades? Their switcherdoodle could be made from basically any farm plant, but I'd go with tomatoes to give those a good use as Webber, since they can't be eaten byspiders for healing like veggie-eating followers do. catch all types of bugs in orbs of web and can till (like merms can with a shoddy tool)

Switcherdoodle: 2 monster meat, 3 silk, 2 tomatoes(20dmg, 200hp)

What do you think I should do the last skill
