Craftable plants should also be a thing available for other characters

Recommended Posts

I feel like there should be some sort of endgame crafting station made with living wood, pure horror and pure brilliance that'd allow you to craft plants, just like Wormwood can. Plus plants that he cannot, such as grass, spiky bushes and trees.

Then Wormwood's perks wouldn't be useless, as they'd allow him to skip the 'get to the endgame' phase. And, at the same time, craftable plants, something that many megabasers will appreciate, wouldn't be locked behind a character (a one that needs to be bought at that)

I dont agree with "Wormwood's perks wouldn't be useless, as they'd allow him to skip the 'get to the endgame' phase.Wormwood's perks wouldn't be useless, as they'd allow him to skip the 'get to the endgame' phase.", I think wormwood should have other perks in the place of crafting plants that are way less desirable for himself than others, I wouldn't mind him having exclusive plants that fit his gameplay loop and are not already present in the game. That said, I agree that crafting basic resource plants or acquiring more of them in some other way shouldnt be locked to a character. The point you make about wormwood being a DLC character thus paid is also good.

I kinda like this idea though i think they would have to rework those perks. Maybe he get's a bonus from that plant? Idk.

What about the people that don't have Wormwood?

This is going to bait a particular type of person to make a particular type of argument I foresee it now...

maybe just use wormwood to craft these crops like Winona craft her mangonel. I think this way fit Klei's style.

I suppose I was out of touch being content with accessing craftable berry bushes as wormwood, having the hamlet dlc purchased and everything

You make great points. Wormwood is literally a pay to win character in that sense lol.

I don't like to EVER defend corporations, and that includes Klei. I think every single company should always be under the eye of scrutiny, but even I have to play devil's advocate for them, how on earth are they going to make different skills to replace his plant crafts?

But to counter that point, to be fair, during the endgame, woodie's wooden tools are useless after mid winter, so with that as a consideration, junk skill points aren't the end of the world... but it's sad for characters to have junk skill points to begin with.

Makes me worried for wigfrid. I hope her skill points aren't junk.

I do hope you get what you want with wormwood, OP, because it will give me hope that my voice would matter when wigfrid's skill tree comes to pass.
