How to contact Klei.

Recommended Posts

It's just as the title says, I want to figure out how to directly contact klei in regards to making cosmetic content for their original characters.

Do I email? If so, what's the email?
Do I make a forum post and tag a Klei person?

Please do share any info you have! Thank you!

The only way that community members help with game development is giving feedback & bug reports. If there was any way to help them with art it'd be on their job listings page that Captain_Rage posted, but the only opening I see is a software engineer.

Not as a job at Klei, I just need to contact them to see if I'm allowed to create a cosmetic for their own original character, or rather commission someone to make a cosmetic for their original character.

Specifics of TOS, and yeah, would I be allowed to do so.

I'm pretty sure people make modded skins quite often. The issue would be if when it comes to monetization, like selling your own skins or trying to replicate Klei's skins to get around paying them. Unless if that's not what you mean by cosmetic.

I mean, if you just make a cosmetic and keep it for yourself, I really don't think they'll mind. the real issue would come if you tried to make some shady business where you sell those cosmetics which would definitely be a big no no
