I believe that the Deadly Brightshade shouldn't harm Wormwood

I wouldn't mind if Wormwood get a strong buff in late game when you consider he's not that easy to play character right now and very away from being OP.

Feel like it's mostly a case of playstyle preference formed by the community at least in my experience combat isn't much harder than average so long as you use the alternative healing methods available.

I don’t think Wormwood should be COMPLETELY Immune to Brightshades.. as these plants deal enough damage to easily kill most bosses..

However, I DO think Wormwood should have SOME Sort of Benefit, and what I’m going to suggest may sound a bit OP.. but significantly less OP than wanting full blown immunity.

My suggestion is to give Wormwood Natural Planar Defense, this means that.. he doesn’t need the Brightshade Armor to help prevent damage from Brightshades, they will still Attack and Injure him.. but unlike the humans who become Impaled by the plants protective AoE, Wormwood be flung away as if he were wearing BS gear.

In Addition: Since Wormwood would have built in Planar abilities Wormwood wouldn’t need to wear BOTH the Helmet & the Armor to get the 8 points of extra damage you get from wearing the Helmet and Armor- instead he could wear just the Helmet or the Armor to obtain the bonus.

TL:DR- Pretend Wormwoods constantly wearing a Brightshade Helmet at all times.

It kinda does, Wilson has to both be careful of the brightshades and the mobs attacking you, a neutral character would only kite enemies while the brightshades obliterate them.
In the video it’s only one brightshade so it’s aggro is constantly distracted by the mobs, but if it were more plants they would certainly attack the player and kill them.
On the scenario that Mike states, there could be a dozen of the plants and being neutral to them will allow the player to safely destroy anything the plants can aggro, even bosses.

I’m not sure I’m in favor or against that TBH, wormwood needs more interactions with plants, but it would certainly be a very drastic and powerful change.

I'll be honest, I don't really see much of a problem here. Isn't this basically how Wormwood interacted with the Snapteeth back in Hamlet?

That term works for every character's aspect. Every downside of character could be ignored as you find alternative ways.

Isn't that how it should be? We're supposed to work to mitigate our downsides and Wormwood is very good at it due to having many good options.

No, it just makes the characters more boring and make them all play the same. I’d rather downsides were a more integral part of the game.

I don’t see how it would be that much of an issue

It would neutralize an entire end-game threat?

Also, Wickerbottom being immune to Grazers is not an issue because they're easily avoided by every survivor anyway due to their slow walk speed.

I mean Wormwood's downside isn't hand waved though even if you can take steps to work around it you still handle it in different ways from the norm seems like it's exactly what you'd want no?(aside from jellybeans but that's a boss drop so it's somewhat ok)

Spoiler

Personally I've been wondering if bee queen's drops should be nerfed but I'm sure even suggesting this is probably gonna get my head put on a stake.

Not really his downsides don’t really change anything for me. I already use jelly beans as a main healing source as do a lot of players. And I was also referring to all characters. It really seems that with the reworks they really neglected downsides which sucks cause that’s what makes things interesting for me (and differentiates characters more which is something I really need)
