Szczuku Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 First thing's first: When defeated it seems to always speak like 5 times but it only has 2 lines: "THIS NOT OVER" and "M-MY POWER" Second thing's second: The "my power" line feels out of character. It's a pig, a werepig at that. So unless the big twist of this nameless update arc is that this Daywalker is secretly fused with the third (or should I say fourth) important member of the Ancient Civilization, that line feels off. Something like "M-MY STRENGHT" would fit better methinks. Also, if this werepig is actually fused with an Ancient, then I think that, when tired, it could say a line "BREATHE...". As in, the werepig is too big for its lungs to pump enough air (when engaged in combat) and the Ancient inside is reminding/forcing the Daywalker to stop the charge. Another, not dialogue-related thing is that, when defeated, this giant werepig disappears in the smallest, most non-shadow magic-looking cloud of dust imaginable. Why? Why? Likely W.I.P. The whole fight + rewards screams W.I.P currently. The dreadstone armor/helmet is essentially reskinned thulecite armor/helm (Plus you don't even get enough drops for a full set from one fight!) There'll likely be more content/proper changes in the next few patches/updates as they tinker it out. I also have no idea why 'my power' is out of line for a pig to say, they're not completely incapable of any kind of speech, and not incapable of caring about brute strength. Ok I guess Still, I feel like any kind of "My X!" line that does not refer to something noticible is a writing exaggeration. Yes, that's it! Daywalker says "M-MY POWER" but the animations fail to properly convey that. Had he shrunk down in size or lost the magenta lines in a proper 'defeated' animation that line would make sense and not feel out of place. That was my problem in the op. But since he just strikes his usuall 'tired' pose that line seems like a silly exaggeration. "M-MY POWER", oh yeah? your power to what, not be tired?
