Why not play on an unofficial endless server? Heck, host your own! MondayNight Posted February 1, 2023 Share Posted February 1, 2023 If there aren't anymore Endless KLei pubs, there won't be any "Why Cloud Save setting for Endless KLei pub doesn't work and solely resets world upon updates rolling in/server crashing?!", "KLei pls do something about these griefers burning our 1k days camp on your server, is your responsibility, prythee moderation!" or "KLei do something about these griefers taking KLei pubs hostage via kicking and killing randoms, using bots & advanced AFK techniques to lock-down the pubs!!!" problems either. Probably was a hassle for KLei keeping those Endless servers up anyway, when official pubs' purpose most likely is just to familiarize newbies with game-play for at most 2 seasons in a relatively free-action/anything-allowed, sufficiently stable (PC performance-wise) environment. There are enough Community Moderated Servers now (all major regions around globe) to cover the Endless-mode demand for KLei not to bother with maintaining their Endless pubs any longer, I reckon. Those problem exist before (not the cloud save one) and after klei remove endless. People just like to complain about stuff, that all, and the reason there are less post about that is klei never reply with a statement so player just gave up, not because endless server is gone, i think. dzzydzzy Posted February 1, 2023 Share Posted February 1, 2023 As Klei devs stated in a previous post, they don't like to interact directly to threads like this because it sets a precedent for fan communication that is unsustainable. Interacting to you directly makes fans feel entitled to be spoken to and hand-held through every change and furthers expectations of well thought-out posts explaining deep thinking and the weighing-in of their positions on things. This would slow down their overall work of development and put them behind schedule. I would just let it go. What are you truly missing out on?
