pitovsky Posted November 9, 2022 Share Posted November 9, 2022 Here is my opinion about duelist. The duelist should have normal status like they have now in beta. For example, 20 damage, 40 damage cap and 0 hp regeneration If you equip a sword to maxwell the damage of duelist will scale. If you equip a armor to maxwell the damage cap will decrease (less damage taken) If you equip a helmet to maxwell the duelist will gain a small hp regen. The equipments could have tiers: Tier 1: Nightmare Tier 2: Thulecite Tier 3: Shadow Thurible, bone equipment The equipment of tier 3 to the hand will increase damage more than tier 1. Same goes to body slot and head slot (tier 3»tier 2»tier 1). A set of same equipment will have some unique benefit: Set nightmare – decrease damage cap to 15. For example: Dam 30, damage cap to 15, hp regen to 5 every few seconds. Set thulecite – increase hp regen to 15. For example: dam 30, damage cap to 30, hp regen to 15 every few secons. Set shadow therible and bone equipment – increase damage to 60. For example: dam 60, damage cap 30, hap regen to 5 every few seconds. These are just random numbers that need to be adjust to duelist that they dont be so OP. The idea is that you could have benefits from equip a set of same tier. You could combine a equipments of diferent tier but you wont get the bonus of the same tier – you still gain bonus of individual equipment that are better in superior tier (a bone helmet will gve more hp regen than Magician’s Top Hat, but less than having a set of tier 2 equiped - same goes to hand slot and body slot). Amulets could give a bonus attack speed to duelist. Yeah would be cool if Thurible adds some buff to the Duelist, afterall Thurible dropped from Ancient Fuelweaver that we summoned with fossils from the dead, thulecite from Ancient Key and nightmare fuel / shadow magic from Shadow Atrium. But anyway, I think it's enough for Maxwell who was not good at fighting. It also is happening in the main branch so I can't imagine it had anything to do with this patch. It's not a filter issue. Taeli Posted November 10, 2022 Share Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Why don't try Bernie aggro monsters in Max Shadows (working on shadow enemies) ?? Maxwell would be defended by the shadows with this system and would be able to participate better in fights as he has low HP.
