EighteenXVIII
I should probably farm EOT for ice cream. As a Webber main it would be pretty easy, and it's his favorite food. Tents are just so convenient though. Top off two stats at once and then you just shovel down honey or monster meat. For honey ham, a neat option early game is to hammer the gigantic beehive. One honey + one monster meat + one meat + one filler. There's a few other health options early game, but it's nice to have more. One recipe that isn't awful is beefy greens. Just need lureplants and stone fruit bushes. The downside is you need quite a few lureplants to start mass producing it, and everything spoils fast so you need to crack open fresh stone fruits every time you want to add more beefy greens to your bundle. For healing pierogis are so much better though, and for hunger that leafy meat can also go to meaty stew which is superior overall. Oh and hilariously Wurt can't eat beefy greens. Ohan
Any recipe that requires ice. I hate gathering and stockpiling ice so much for some reason lol. i dont think ive every made spicy chili either even though i make those smaller 37/20/5 dishes very frequently in the early game. The ingredients for the chili can be split up and combined with easy fillers to make several 37/20/5 dishes instead of 1. Like frog bunwich, cupcake and honey nuggets. Maybe i need to revisit it for its temp increase buff since ive started wearing body clothing more instead of thermal… Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/143245-what-crockpot-recipes-are-good-but-you-cant-be-bothered-to-make/page/2/#findComment-1598994 Share on other sites
jrthekidRS
Any of the leafy meat recipes. Even when I do have leafy meat I tend to let it rot in my ice box rather than utilizing it. goatt
All the fish related recipe. because fish can not be multiplied and farmed in base in a set-and-forget way, and walking is literally the least favorite part of the game. I wish there is a mechanism to allow you to grow fish slowly (offscreen) like a fish farm. There is more complexion to the mechanic that are taken into account such as baits stored within the trawler, how many trawlers there are, the amount of ocean tiles, but in the end it still works very well as a automatic farmer for fish. The best way to go about it is placing them a bit out into sea and making sure they are not too close within each other and you'll have a simple supply of ocean fish every now and so, . Is there some advanced guide about trawler to read/watch if I want to understand exactly how it works? Also trawler has only 4 slots, but fish usually spawns in groups of 5 (or 6?), so wouldn't it be better to put trawlers in pairs to decrease chance of overloading trawlers and catch maximum fish? I wouldn't know, I don't keep up with the youtube scene much but I can elaborate further myself. When the trawler is loaded back in, it takes the amount of time it has slept for and divides by 30 for how many rolls it should do (essentially, every 30 seconds it does a roll for whether or not to add a fish to itself) The chance for a fish spawn goes as so, --(6.25% was chosen as the base chance by the devs as it generally equates to one fish per day) --OceanPercent is the percentage of ocean there is in a 25 unit radius around the trawler, this is why you want to be a bit out into the ocean to do this --NearByTrawlers is the amount of trawlers nearby this one in a 16 unit radius --NearByTrawlerModifier is the modifier applied depending on how many trawlers are nearby NearByTrawlerModifier = 1 / NearByTrawlers --(if there are zero other trawlers, this is just a 1) CatchFishChance = %6.25 * OceanPercent * NearByTrawlerModifier --(CatchFishChance is then doubled if the trawler contains a bait the pending fish likes) I believe there's a few client mods out there that show the nearby trawler radius check as a reticule similar to the ice flingomatic radius, if you want to be absolutely sure to space out your trawlers, as even just one other trawler halves your chance for the roll. I've never had trouble with unloaded trawlers overfilling too much, unless if you leave them for a long while then it's a fine idea I suppose.
