The "Walnut" Bookstack doesn't match other Walnut skins? :(

This has been driving me insane when I think too hard about it, so I thought I'd make a little thread here. Despite "Walnut" being used as a descriptor for fences and gates in the past, the Walnut Bookstack has an entirely different color. You could argue that skins aren't necessarily supposed to match each other between sets, however the Stained Glass Gate uses exactly the same wood color as the Walnut fence/gate, so It feels like there's some intention of Walnut woods matching together? I'd love to see this adjusted, personally.

That's 100% a perception thing, I am sure the color values aren't exactly correct but they look identical to me. Hopefully it gets fixed though.

I think the subtle variation doesn't matter too much. In fact everything being the exact same pulled pantone would look a bit dull. The slight tweak in hue in your screenshot doesn't look offensive to me, as an artist. But maybe it's a different experience in-game. I know how the seasonal overlays can really pull out all kinds of tones you wouldn't otherwise expect (I personally dislike that effect much more, especially when trying to use geo placement and all the tile boundaries are completely washed out by either winter or summer brightness).

It's not 100% different, but it's definitely not miniscule... They're pretty different shades.

Though I get if it only bothers me.

I liked this detail. If they remove, i hope another skin  would be add that maitain the grassy sprite, because it looks like after some days in the wild, grass started to grow over the things, and because i don't spend so much time in base, it makes sense that the character hadnt cut the grass XD

The colors look more or less in the same spectrum? It does make both the fences and bookcases more distinguishable from each other having slight different tone. I see no issues there.

I frankly agree, at least on turfs with no grass around. it just is a pain to see it looking like it's either shredding rocks into blades to stand there or rocky grass started sprouting. Not too far from truth in this game but it just looks weird.

But you wouldn't use it together with a fence anyway. It would look weird to have a fence connected to bookshelves
