Why do people hate the idea of a DST spin-off

Snip

The point I was trying to make about why DST should have a spin-off is that with a visual novel they could explore deeper relationships with the survivors, how they interact with the world, old the old react to them, what their thought and action are, and expand more on the story, and other stuff that couldn't be done with the survival genres.

Charlie basically has no personality, no interest, and no character, especially queen Charlie, do you know anything about Charlie to say that my comment is slander? Also if Klei wants us to care about Charlie, then they need to give her an actual personality.

I don't think a visual novel is that time and resource and I'm also not asking for a full sequel, of course, a visual novel spin-off can greatly richer the experience of the game, and also it would help the fanfic writer to know the actual characters and not make them act so out of character.

Because Wilson isn't Mario, they aren't a moldable cast of characters that would fit many genres, plus if Klei wants to make a new game why not just use new characters like they've done with every other game.

Just make a combo of DST + DS (Shipwreck, Hamlet) then everyone who really wants to play as the characters will get more world settings that can be added, removed and controlled to set to different load outs like: you can decide how much content you want if you want more of Shipwreck you set the world setting to  all Tropical and it changes the mobs designs to look shipwrecked like a skin with new bosses that replace the ones that don't exist in shipwreck. You could have so many settings to toggle what parts you want and don't want to have a unique experience just enjoying the vast options. (Also add in unused content to it to have even more options)

Exactly! That's what I love about the cast. They're all archetypes! 5e5cbc4f8ba31_Arielwave.thumb.png.bd21db18ea1dc980dbfc29f403e0a71f.png

Charlie, when she was human, was shown to be a cheerful and caring woman, as seen on her letters to her sister and her showing concern when she found Maxwell's secret room and these are things from the Maxwell puzzles from years ago.

Queen Charlie is more complicated but is clear that she has a more sadistic personality due to her human and darkness monster fusing together.
