Something like 70 dupes died a few cycles ago, due to the lack of food ( again  ).

Currently I am working on a Liquid Hydrogen Facility. After some future fails I want to somehow make it to a Liquid Hydrogen Facility. I have never produced LOX before, so I find it exciting to work on this.

One idea of mine, could be...to let -200 Celsius Hydrogen vapor through the open plan base ( ascending from the base bottom ), little vents which open, as parts of the colony are above 30 or 40 Celsius.

The bottom screenshots shows the ceiling of accumulated Hydrogen ( Pink ), which is currently used to operate the 2x AETN`s and used for Hydrogen power generation.

The bottom floor is now cooled down, I`m laying metal tiles between the Neutronium, so that the dupes can speed run along

Metal inlays for dupe speed running, with insulated "end bits". Also poles and ladders are chopped of, to created less temperature transfer.

Colony entry/exit through vacuum space, to prevent heat transfer in to the colony. The fast cable is still transmitting hot of heat though...In ONi there is always something to improveĀ

I have shielded the direct heat from Volcanoes, inside the big Steam Room, with insulation shapes. This avoid breaking down my machinery on volcano eruptions. I have also installed ~30 air Thermo Regulators, for additional base cooling. All my machinery is backup`ed by bikes, the previous dupe bike operators are currently dead.

The Steam at the bottom of the base is generated by 4x Petroleum Generators and 6x Natural Gas Generators. The Oil/Petroleum at the bottom is currently laying around as "waste" remains.

Themo Regulators inside the Steam Room. Screenshot also shows the pipework to feed some Lead Suit Docks. The base has ~100 Lead Suit Docks. I made a lot of the pipes inside the big Steam Room from Ceramic ( where I can afford it ), which insulates much better up to 200 Celsius.

Current base screenshot below. The "Sour Gas Venting" event is over :beguiled: It took ages !

Thanks for the motivation dear @Omdev :love_heart: I wish you and your family a nice week.

I am now filling the top room with Hydrogen + filling the entry airlock with oilĀ :p

Next is building batch of Thermo Regulators, inside my Steam Room, to cool down the Hydrogen Room...so that I have a nice pool of -200 Celsius fluid Hydrogen.

image.thumb.png.c39eab8baf1be5250a9ef0925ebb7da1.png

I had some hot Petroleum pipes going through the room, I have relocated them more towards my inside colony - To avoid breaking pipes from fluid Hydrogen in the future. Baby steps :afro:

Once the airlock oil is frozen, then its time to dig through and find other solutions  Once the Hydrogen is fluid it should be ok, problem solving is so much fun in the game :ghost:

Will build 8x Thermo Regulators for the Hydrogen cooling within the farm bunch of others. Need to solve the energy crisis :flustered:

Emergency shutdown for all my Steel made Thermo Regulators and Aquatuners is set to 250 Celsius :ghost:

image.thumb.png.7ef00753a5caf4eadf946b31ec1bd3af.png

I build and group 8x Thermo Regulators because that is the electric maximum of the thin 2kW Conductive Wire, which has little wire heat transfer in to my colony. All machinery also has bike backups, that plays out well when I reach the population of 100 dupes in the future again. :adoration:

image.thumb.png.bb816ace3af310a56445d93a66ffaa0a.png

Below - Every single Aquatuner has its own little 2kW power line and packs of 8x Thermo Regulators share one thin 2kW line. For temperature safety reasons all my electric Transformers run inside the colony and emit heat there - My Transformers are made from gold, I`m steel poor but gold rich.

My typical 50kW colony main line in to the Steam Room 2kW lines via transformers:

image.png.d7f53764c8bd2be62c1c89893f50651f.png

Bike backup version:

image.thumb.png.8e5f8cbbd25dae740d973ff1aaca906a.png

For my new fluid Hydrogen Room, I`m setting up this power-backup-bike-train for the Thermo Regulators: Optimum would be 5 bikes, but 4x bikes will do for now ( limited space ). In a perfect world I would have all batteries and transformers inside the big Steam Room, made from steel.

image.thumb.png.e7a0e5ce4d02c08561a71bc288ba493c.png

Power producers ( Steam Generators etc. ) are always within my 50kW line, without using transformers.

Whoever wants to provide whatever ( game performanceĀ  ) feedback...is welcome to do so :bee:

Attached is my 92mb save game. May the Stinky be always with you :adoration:

@Omdev > Now your wish comes true my friend :p BTW My save currently has no rockets...Also the colony is currently lacking 50 dupes for more bike power, so its a bit under staffed. The colony recently nearly went extinct ( again ) , so dupes currently have some crappy skills.

On can run the colony with 80-100 dupes, just make sure to make more to farmers - Or make the farms automatic. Glass production would also need to be built, to provide glass for the ongoing lead suit repairs. Once more dupes have been printed, it would be good to give 4 of them the cook job.

Its still rather early in the game, the colony should be much more advanced by cycle 20000.

Have fun :cheerful:

Anybody is welcome to post pictures of their toilet builds :p

Playing with a hundred dupes, I have the problem that its too much pipes and things are far away in the big map. To solve the issue of no more fresh water arriving at a far away farm, I have started to build simple local toilet-water-recycling-centers.

Ā

This ensures that most of the dupes flushed toilet water gets recycled with a sieve. To stock local fresh water supply I am also implementing water reservoirs as local storage tanks. :adoration:

In the picture the water comes in from the bottom left - The water source is very far away.

image.thumb.png.1ee9c465d5ec7f1fc4d45f0e05ad49c8.png

Below is a picture of one of some old toilet block, which basically drained everything out of the system. I need to rebuild it as a water recycling toilet block. Having several of those blocks drained my entire water network, so I had to change to local water recycling.

image.png.629c809c74c4ed54cce41eb0251b84d1.png

Another toilet block reworked with polluted water refinement, below. I have hooked in some consumers ( aquatuners ) to avoid that the recycling loop clogs up over time.

@babba im playing with your map , i hope you not mind.

i todo some changes at there. like move those sweetle's what you had at there to the grubfruit farm as it stats drop better food then

also i to want make changes in that volcano but not yet finished

Can anybody guess what it is? :D

Looks like a fairly radioactive fart station...

And though mine isn't a SO! play atm... I've decided to luxuriantly feed the only 2 properly groomed sage hatches in my map with fertilizer. Correct me if I'm wrong but it takes about 2 synthesizers to feed a single hatch.

This is a preview I whipped up in sandbox, it's too bad that fertilizer synthesizers can't rotate by default...:

@babba: Bleach stone can help with substituting lavatories, a well groomed and fed squeaky puft will help ...

Spoiler

image.thumb.png.592eb11496ee2758c07529a2345faf00.png

When I played 100-dupes I face such situation because of 1-shift schedule. After I split it into 4 shifts, it is gone.Ā

cycle ~900. Current goals are simply manually mining out space resources to keep the lights on. I might want to redo my liquid hydrogen/oxygen soon, the existing build was an experiment, I'd never done such a thing before, and there are many things to be improved on.

Something perhaps more imperative would be to set up base on the ocean planetoid and begin water extraction. the colony is slurping down water much, much, much faster than it is producing it, due to uncareful cultivation of exuberant nosh beans where I didn't need more.
