[suggestion] Ashley's quotes/lines

So, a long time ago when Willow got her rework, Bernie had received a skin that'd turn him into Ashley, his cat-counterpart for her Forlorn doll skin.

However currently when using this skin Ashley is still referred to as Bernie and uses all of his pronouns and quotes.
Dataminers had uncovered that existing quotes for Ashley did exist and weren't being used, I'm figuring with all the great changes we're getting in this QOL we could potentially get these brought back.

I understand the concern with renaming items that are simply skins but I feel like this is an example where it'd be appropriate and it wouldn't be too confusing since they functional identically!

I remember asking this question to one of the developers, or seeing a reply from it somewhere, probably Jeddy, he said it was a negotiated decision and they didn't want skins change the original item too much.

I guess? This is the only item skin that turns it into a completely different character though.

All other skins change the appearance of something, Lantern skins are still lanterns, Chester's sheep skin is just Chester, but sheepish. 
Bernie is changed to Ashley, who isn't Bernie, ya know?

you need not look that far. The moonglass eyebrella for instance isn't organic like its base item.

I don't see how that goes against what I'm asking for though.

It doesn't matter what its made out of, its still an eyebrella? Made of glass or organic it is what its name is.
My concern is that Ashley as an item is still named Bernie.

As a filthy Willow main, I am ABSOLUTELY for this, and I have no idea what would be so awful about it.  If you don't play as her, it will never affect you at all. So...why would you like...care...?

I have an Ashley in my inventory and she's still called Bernie.  It just bugs me 'cos it doesn't match up, ya know?

I haven't touched willow in years and honestly, I think this would be an alright change. This is one of the few skinned items (if not the only one?) where the implication is that the skin is a completely different thing from the original- as opposed to just an alternate form of the existing base. I don't really think it counts a 'slippery slope' because its such a rare occurrence anyway. All the chester skins are still chester, all the Wurt skins are still Wurts, so on.

Its a pretty minor detail but a cute one, and they might have been more worried about the idea of "skins changing the character too much" back when it originally released due to not being fully sure how different they wanted skins be and how much work customized responses like "Ashley!" might be in the long run if they did continue doing skins like that. But its been awhile and this is the only skin i can think of that would even remotely justify changing the observation quote for.

I would say sure, this is kind of an exception to other circumstances seeing as how the skin offers conflicting information. It's an Ashley skin for Bernie, but in-game they're still called "Bernie".

By lore standards this is quite possibly another doll from Willow's past, so it should be addressed as such. Like if Woodie had another axe named "Jill", I would expect the Jill skin in DST to not go by "Lucy" even though it's not a separate object.
