I imagine that if this wasn't a game where everything has to have the same basic model to save time/memory, they'd be like any other group--a mix.  Some would be round, some would be buff, some would be skinny...

Just a idea but it does seem like I'm complicating things.

Carrats are from the moon and/or moon mutations though unless the elder mandrakes are from the moon and/or moon mutations (which is a possibility as they smile at the full moon and the Aporkalypse which is just the moon blocking out the sun) that wouldn't be possible, and why didn't the normal mandrake grow into elder mandrake and Carrats grow into mandrake root? unless there is something special about Hamlet.

Different body type is interesting for NPCs of that species to make them stand out more.

What a shame the artwork is really beautiful, creative, and imaginative in making the constant feel like a magical fantasy world with the bright yet earthy color tone of the art mixed with a cartoony yet realistic art style that doesn't fall into the uncanny valley, at least more than anything I could come up with.

Let me explain some stuff in questions 2, 3, and 5.

2 to 3They deserve some love part meaning should they get more expand in any way really like,

Lore, mechanic, culture, tradition, festival, holiday, diversity.

Question number 5 is asking what species do you want to get expanded upon.

1 pigman even though they get the most attention still feels very underdeveloped, especially in the mainland.

2 Merm same thing as before no new information about them as a society now only when they were not a merm.

3 Bunnymen what else can I say that I never said before.

4 Rock lobster the highest vote probably because we want them to make a society and the fact that we know nothing about them.

5 Crab people Pearls race we want to know we do they live and how did Pearl end up in hermit island.

6 Goat I just want to see Mumsy's descendant.

7 Mant no one wants them I guess but if they make it to the mainland I want them to be a different subspecies of Mant.

8 Monkey money does not grow on trees okay stop trying to make it happen.

9 Crow people as far as we know are just crows who have mutated meaning that they are the first fraction to have an ancestor on earth and I want to know what their culture is like more.

10 Ballphin same as the Mant I want a Jarnose Ballphin.

11 Imp I want to know what other Wortox species are like.

12 Walrus where do they come from who knows maybe the same place as pengull.

13 Mandrake I wants to know who makes them maxwell doesn't seem to know and elder mandrake has some kind of connection to the moon.

14 Make your own species maybe Klei wants to know too.

What do you mean they speak in different dialects? they just speak broken English the hamlet pig's speak is clearly much better.

Why can the other Species that can speak, speak clearly but not Bunny men and Mainland pigs?, Merms speak an entirely different language so they have an excuse.

I would prefer if Wurt's crafting tab were reminiscent of stuff in the Gorge, that represents the Merm culture in the Gorge. Like she should, imo, have better crockpot recipe ingredients collection skill, since the Merms have been feeding the Gnaw for a long time

Other pigs are clearly capable of normal speech. Pugna, for example. Though I don't deny the possibility that mainland pigs are just... very "special".

Languages change over time. I'm sure you'd find older versions of your langs weird. Probably containing some phonetic differences tho and other word meanings. Future versions would be even more weird.
