So you accepted that the Mainland pigs are stupid? and Bunny men should not be speaking the same as them?

Nah, i just doubt the pigman lore is fleshed out. Or any lore, really. Aside from chess allusions.

We're probably not supposed to care about any creatures other than kitties and other pets. Pigmen are supposed to be stupid, I think.

DST is all about the stage and plays replacing the old theme of chess with its new theme of stageplay and theather.

Could you provide examples?

The stagehand, the new marble statue, the normal Charlie symbolizes the comedy, and the shadow Charlie symbolizes the tragedy, The Queen Charlie symbolize both of these masks so she is neither cruel nor sweet, the raid bosses like villains in a play, the fact that Charlie is into more into stageplay than Maxwell, DST have "arc", the playable character feel like the main characters, the NPCs are like the supporting characters, the more epicness of it all, the "setting the stage" content update, and finally the Florid Postern look like a stage. Also, have we done before this feel so familiar like I'm feeling this sense of Dejavu?

That's a stretch, but otherwise sure

What do you think of the DST stageplay theme, also the animated short we get, and the compendium also help with this theme.

Then what do you know about DST lore?

I didn't watch recent shorts, like Wanda's or Wolfgang's. I know that Wortox'es is narrated. The compedium is just there to re-tell shorts. I know about the puzzles and adventure mode, events, that DST trailer. And that one of the characters says "crap".

No, the compendium is there for extra lore that doesn't show up and show up in the short.

The bunny men are technically more advanced than the pig men.
Because they have ideology.
This is reflected in the fact that they only attack you if they see you breaking one of their laws which is "you can't eat meat".

On the other hand, I would like them to expand the lore of the Mactusk a bit, so it seems that they live on a separate island and cross the sea at certain times of the year to hunt in other areas.
It is probably a tradition for an adult macktus to take a young one hunting in other areas such as game island.
this would explain why when a mactusk group is created (with the dogs included) it is called
The MacTusk 'n' Son Hunting Party in the games code

I see where are you coming from I also wanted something like an ice berge island that some of the winter mob came from like pengull ice hound and Walrus, maybe you can even trade with them if you wearing the Tam o' Shanter.

The three most popular vote as of now is.

Number 3 is a four-way tie between Pig, Walrus, Mandrake, and A new species.

the Pig the voter probably wants mainland pig to do some new stuff and have more culture and tradition, the reason I think it's in Number three is that they got the most attention out of them all.

Walrus is here because they haven't changed them since the beginning of time people want to know more about them where they came from and what are they like, but not any higher because there are still more interesting mobs out there.

Mandrake who made them and why are there elder mandrake in hamlet that smile only when it's a full moon or the Aporkalypse, the reason it is not any higher is that most people hate the screaming and also it better dead than alive.

New species people just want a new race I guess, why not any higher people still love the old one

Number 2 is a two-way tie between Merm and Goat how fitting.

The reason Merm is here is that they got no change they only change when you play Wurt a DLC character and also we know nothing about them Merms likes post-Gorge, the reason it's not Number 1 is that people hated the Merms for some reason.

The Goat is here because people want to see Mumsy and Billy back but also the reason it is not higher is that people just don't like them I don't know.

The Number 1 is the Rock lobster people just want lore for these rock monsters that hit like a truck, the reason I think it's the most popular is that know nothing about them so they think it needs some love.

The honorable mentions

Bunnymen are the same as the rock lobster but are not as popular as them because they are an idealist vegan who attacks anyone who eats meat.

Monkey people want to trade bananas with them, but they are so annoying most people don't want to be friends with them.

Crow people only appear in the summer event has interesting implications, but not enough fans to support them.

Now the 3 unpopular votes.

Number 3 Crab people I don't why so let's move on.

Number 2 is a two-way tie between Imp and Ballphin most people just hate how they look and they just can't imagine how would they fit in DST style.

Number 1 is Mant because people hate insects well I personally like humanoid insects I think it is interesting to give emotion to such an emotionless creature.

That's all I have to say folk has a good night.

Also a off-topic question maybe

Is everything in the constant tectechnically count as a alien?

Personally I don't really care enough about merms, bunnymen, or rock lobsters.

But I'd love to see some variety and tweaks to how the walrus family works! Maybe even a return of the mactusk town setpiece? Or some more nods to their Scottish/Celtic origins?

I think they must be in DST first to be in the lunar new year

It's just suggestion ideas I would love Pogs or similar creatures to a pog in DST. :encouragement:

I'd like to see them celebrating different events, like winters feast or hollowed knights. We already know Merms do infact celebrate winters feast in their own unique way so it'd be cool to see this expanded upon. I'd also like for Klei to let the mobs do more things besides walk around, eat and fight. Pigs could stop and have a conversation with eachother or even do things like feed something to the king. Merms could fish like the Fishermerms did or they could have a unique interaction with Mosquitos showing they've adapted to the swamp (like using some form of makeshift bug spray). Even just some unique animations like Merms scratching their heads like Wurt does would be cool. Cool setpieces like an area where Pigs train to become guards could be fun too, or while you're adventuring you could find a Pig thats gathering resources for the king. I'd like for these mobs to feel more alive without being a detriment (like eating directly off of berry bushes when hungry).

That is everything I ever wanted, also hollow knight crossover in this year's hallowed night?

Hollow knight crossover with hollowed knights would be sick! And honestly would work pretty well, since the knight is basically just a nightmare creature with a bug head
