This thread is about the atmosphere you feel while playing DST but also the emotion that the game give you while playing it

The more I play DST the more I just sit there enjoying the beautiful view of the constant in a random public server as everyone jointly run around all over the place it fills me with a wonderful feeling of peacefulness and a little bit of melancholy the more I look around trying to find the marsh as I run through all of the beautiful biomes I realize this game makes me feel something that I can't felt in the original and it DLC, the constant is now full of characters that help each other to survive in this harsh world but it the melancholy is still there but there something about it that is so peaceful the original to me feel like a horror game more chaotic so full of loneliness that fills me with sadness but in DST I feel emotions that I can't describe it's not loneliness but feel like it.

DST the sky is brighter and the water is clearer the wind feel stronger too.

There is something in DST atmosphere I can't get anywhere else and it never gets any weaker so can anyone tell me what am I feeling?

Does anybody else feel the same or am I just being overly emotional?

The sound design of DST is superb too.

I love to just listen to the ambience especially during rainy days.

yeah as I listen to the rain at the base sleeping at the Siesta Lean-to.

Love the ambiance of being together in the wild but also feel a little lonely.

Also, congrats on your 666 posts.

The reason I name the thread this way is that this thread is about your feeling of DST while playing it.

As in you feel something special about a place, item, mob, boss, biome.

I want to hear what you're feeling playing DST is for me it in the thread name every time I play this game I feel this way ( when there are events going on I feel completely different ) so I want you to describe the feeling of DST in your opinion on how the game makes you feel while playing it.

While I was playing DST it fills me with a sense calmness and just chill as I take a stroll around the island and just enjoy all the minor little thing about the game.

I just enjoy things that doesn't add anything to the gameplay.

The truth is, I love all the biomes of the constant, as well as its fauna and flora, but if I had to choose a biome,
it would be the birch forest, home of the catcoons and the pig king tribe,
the tonality makes me warm of the lawn and add the birches with their various shades of foliage,
it was a rainy day, leaving aside their penalties for humidity,
I feel happy to see how they water the flora and the smell of the earth comes to mind wet...
and I don't forget the soundtracks that are sensational (summer and spring are my favourites), I really love DST.
(I use a translator, so excuse me if something doesn't make sense in the text... I'm from latam -.-)

Yes, I also like the Deciduous Forest it fits the autumn season and has a new mob and boss in winter, and also it spawns gloomer statue so it is really good for the pets collector.

the Deciduous Forest is very autumny the warm color just makes you wanna cuddle the catcoon and roll all over than floor it is especially beautiful in the autumn season.

I really like the sound that rain makes in the game I usually craft a Pretty Parasol early in the game to help with the random rain.

Yes, I love to imagine what the constant air would it smell like in real life.

Yeah, I love the sound of rain with DST autumn work theme.

This is a really good example to show what is this thread all about.

Don't worry about the grammar so much as long as it makes sense it's good in my book.

Summer is pretty cool. Well, it would be, if I didn't go into the caves to kill FW or clear the ruins during this time, lol.

And that's where you are wrong. Summer isn't cool. It is in fact, very warm. Some might say dangerously toasty.

hehe

I love the ambient sfx but I tend to have it set to 0 because otherwise the insanity noises become annoying as hell whenever my sanity dips a tiny bit :(

Have you tried using an umbrella to block the heat? The summer work theme is super iconic so I tend to have a vacation home at the oasis for the fear of wildfire.

I think they should add more options like you can turn the sanity SFX off but the rest is still on.

doesn't antlion cause cave-ins during summer how did you deal with that?

It's easy to ignore in caves. On surface I just kill it.

I think the idea of a neutral boss is a really good idea Klei should do something similar to it.

for people like me who like atmospheric things in our game.

i'd rather see the antlion getting expanded upon

we're heading kinda off topic

So, most of the raid bosses?

No most of them just attack you after you summon them.

nah, it's more about peacefully interacting with one. I think. I'm not Paoling.

Yes like that.

What's Emtion?

The emotional value of the game like how wonder song leaves me with hope, or how FNAF gives me dread.

And I want this thread to be about that.

But also the atmosphere this game gives off.

And maybe I'm just overly emotional.

I think ds had better night ambiance.

Now, it's been a few years but I'm pretty sure in ds you can hear some crickets and owls durring the night. In dst you don't

I'm pretty sure crickets are in DST. No clue about owls.
