Biggest problem with adding a mod like Geometric Placement as opposed to adding something like dusk and night music, more playersgesture wheel, status announcements, or keep following to the core game would be the lack of customizability that comes with it. I do appreciate Geometric Placement as a toggleable option to support building but it'd really inconvenience me if the grid was made to be a permanent feature anytime when building. That is discounting all the separate settings within the mod itself too. In these ways, Geometric Placement is in a very similar position to Combined Status or Snapping Tills

That said, I do feel for the console players who want to build with the grid so perhaps like the gesture wheel, it can be added exclusively to the consoles as a toggleable feature, perhaps under a single grid setting.

Here's the screenshot if anyone was wondering about what I was talking about.

I'm the wicker.

It's still unfinished. It needs 4 scaled chests and a mush cap in the middle.

Yes? What about Wagstaff?

I never not use Geometric Placement. I only toggle it off temporarily if there is a mod compatibility issue.

One day there shall be a Forum's opinion on the Wagstaff simping. Preferably with a better title.

As someone who has only played Console and love to build large bases that fill multiple biomes, I used to dream of having geometric placement...but I'm so used to eyeballing it, using flingos, or using turf that it will take away the personality I've put into my builds..some are nicer than others sure, but it's the imperfections that make it,  me..would it be nice heck yes..but not needed.

I would much rather have something to help with the tilling honestly, I'm getting better at tilling but its a hassle..wish I didn't have to till everytime after a harvest..

Unironically the biggest advantage Wormwood players have over everyone else is never having to pick up a till.

It'd be handy to have the option even without the mod installed, but I'd want to be able to toggle it on and off. Geometric Placement makes it easier to put chests in a neat grid and maximise the number of trees or berry bushes or whatever per tile in a farm, and place the occasional neatly-lined-up decoration, but I also like bases and gardens with some naturalistic randomness to them rather than everything being perfectly aligned with a grid.

I agree that it would be a nice option to toggle on and off, it's not always desirable to place things geometrically, though sometimes it definitely is. It's just super annoying to accidentally place a wall in the wrong spot, for example.

If yall put geometric building in DST... then all that building I would be doing would just feel not at all natural because what if I wanted to put a berry bush very close to the wall then I can't. And all that boss cheat stuff keeping enemies from moving to a certain spot would not exist. I just don't like the sound of it.

Just toggle it off.

I cant see Klei implementing geometric without a toggle lol.

wich the toggle only comes after a week or so, like those weird and totaly random floating heads, wich a mod existed before official klei done a toggle for floating heads, wich still feels like a bug or glitch or the likes

Ones a simple visual change and the other changes the entire way you build.

These are not comparable. And even then, it was a single week.
