# Are dupes 2 meter tall ( 2 tiles ) ?

## Recommended Posts

This ONI steam thread discusses if dupes are 2 meters tall or if they are wearing high heels. What do you think?

Also its being discussed if dupes drop 7 Kilo turds in the toilet, including basic math explanations. The 1 Kilo Parmesan dropped out of my left hand as I started rolling off the chair during laughing.

According to the game, they are 2 tiles tall, but of course that is a simplification, and they are slightly shorter than 2 tiles, or meters.

If I had to guess, I think duplicants would be about 1.66 tiles or meters tall, which puts them at a comfortable, but still rather short, 5.4 feet, or 5'5 tall.

But dupes are only weight 30kg. Maybe they eat too much meal lice.

accounting to my calc with water then 2 tiles are the 2 meters, i posted this in forum sometime ago tho.

dupes self not exactly 2 tiles as hair not counts

Given that a dupe weights 30kg, I would say more like 60cm, with 25cm of that being the head...

Obviously, tiles are 10m deep, so their visible dimensions are only 31cm x 31cm. Duh.

1000 liters water is 1 cube meter, aka 1 tile is 1 meter not 10m

@Gurgel has the right of it!  He rounded down, oddly.

A 10m long rectangular prism with a 31.622 cm square face would technically have the same volume as a 1m cube, and also hold 1000 liters.

Also if the tile happens to be on the hatch of a Spacefarer Module you could argue the tile is much deeper.

well yeah you could use dimension different way as well for get exact same amount off water.

They are smaller than the average human, proven by the ruins, which have human furniture, which wouldn't be usable by dupes.  Also, in Spaced Out, some ruins have 3 tile tall doors, implying humans are OVER 2 tiles tall

well, they to added 3 tile doors to the game as well, so maybe dupes are those little people who have that (Achondroplasia)

Lorewise, the dupes are adults, but since they skip the other stages of life, they have deformities, one of which being smaller than humans IIRC

I am aware of this, I was just saying why they are short according to the lore

well, your short can be right if they are 130cm, then 1 tile can be somewhere 0,7 meter and 3 tiles is 2 meters
