too hard for you?

usually i get so many different water sources that its just makes game so easy

I don't think it was a question of personal difficulty, much more just questioning whether or not the lack of water geyser was by design or not.

if user ask something like that then he/she have a problem right? users who played this en-oh usually not think about that, instead they searching alternative solution

is this by design? I thought all asteroid have at least 1 water geyser by the starting area.

Going from the MiniFlippedStart.yaml file (that controls world gen)

Guaranteed:

  • 1 Liquid Sulfur Geyser
  • Magma passage (the tiny obsidian / sand / abyssalite plug that lets you reach the surface)

Random Geysers (up to 3)

  • Large Volcano
  • Carbon Dioxide Vent
  • Hydrogen Vent
  • Hot Polluted Oxygen Vent
  • Steam Vent
  • Carbon Dioxide Geyser
  • Natural Gas Geyser
  • Infected Polluted Oxygen Vent
  • Small Volcano
  • Cool Steam Vent

So... yup. The non-guarantee of water is by design. (But you have the Radioactive Ocean asteroid nearby!)

No. The question quite clearly is asking if the lack of water geysers is intentional. It says absolutely nothing about any difficulty you may be imagining.

Assuming that the question is asked because of some fundamental incapability is simply offensive. Even if it were so, what need is there for such statements?

Thanks for this! Had No idea you could look it up like that...

I just remember from a while ago either from patch notes or the wiki that asteroids start with some kind of renewable water source because it is absolutely vital to a colony thriving.

Yes my game just became way more complicated, but thats why I went with one of the harder options. Luckily I got a steam vent and its melting the ice biome :D

Still curious if this "concept" was by design and they forgot to add it.

Every other cluster has a guaranteed water source on the starting asteroid. Moonlet clusters don't  They have specific guaranteed geysers in the 5 close planetoids but not necessarily a water based geyser on each different starting asteroid

Learned that hard way. No water or polluted water. Honestly I wouldn't mind one moonlet cluster with water, salt water or polluted water geyser. On the other hand maybe it's not a big problem once you expand to other planetoids. Time will show. Right now punching sludge press to get it from the mud.

Frozen Forest always has a cool slush geyser, Radioactive ocean always has salt water and a guaranteed random water geyser so there are at least 3 guaranteed water based geysers in every Moonlet cluster

I am currently doing a random radioactive ocean and I got pwater, cool slush, saltwater and water. Nothing else besides two CO2 geysers. I would imagine the radioactive ocean has assured water and hence it should only be one teleporter away.
