Steam freezing in volcano tamer

Recommended Posts

seems like this volcano does have the temperature and it indeed cools down water

or its just materjal what i dig

anyway fact is you are holding at there the ice and that turns other water to ice as-well, you not show us when it started happen

That volcano seems to be very cold.

It's made out of abyssalite and that goes for every geyser. The volcano itself can't exchange any temperature with its surrounding but there is a bug (probably having something to do with where the volcano spawns..?) that freezes anything at the point of output of the volcano.

Well I moved the steam turbine output to the left side away from the volcano and it seems to have fixed it. It seems the dripping of water onto the volcano was instantly freezing it to -174 degrees and that was cooling the rest of the water.

I had the same problem with al volcano, if you preheat the water (steam) it's seems to work, so the other way get around this problem is to have steam in the chamber before the eruption.

This bug did not happened for my nobidium volcano.

If it's what is happening it could be very useful exploit... But I'm quite sure it is not like that at all, at least it doesn't look like this in your screen shot. What I see it's you have melted metal by volcano, some very hot solid metal around it and vacuum in "steam" chamber, also piece of ice by robominer. What you don't show but it can be seen is that your steam turbine is incredibly cold, supposedly enough to freeze the small amount of water it pipes down... Although it would be strange to achieve effect like this unless you put very little of water in steam chamber and get mg of steam eventually, which still turns turbines but they running mg of water making it ice temperature and it freezes immediately after leaving the pipes. Same reason for overheating of auto sweeper, conveyor loader and robominer in vacuum there's no heat transfer but every machine produce it's own heat and overheat very quickly also it's connected with wires and possibly automation and all of them are very conductive - meaning transfering heat quickly, another moment is when you have very small amount of steam like mg any devices overheats in seconds I believe it's some sort of game mechanic thing, but it should not work like this... It's something about that mcg of gasses can't change their temperature and mg has very little heat capacity, so it heats quickly when the pressure drops from g to mg and when it reaches mcg it cannot cool down - so all devices in it will not have where to throw away the heat they produce. And by the moment you get to the point where you're with vacuum instead of steam chamber and everything overheated turbine is too cold, and ice don't melt because it is laying on insulated tile and in vacuum I guess there is no interaction with anything else.
