It's kind of hard to consider this

a joke.

But I'll keep that in mind from now on.

Its a joke b/c they don't celebrate thanksgiving at the right time anyway.  They're buying turkey, we're wanting halloween candy...  What even is canada anyway?  I don't talk to other religions so I don't know.

Canada is a cult confirmed.

As a Canadian I can confirm this is true

Oh, I'm quite aware.

You animals tell your neighbors "good morning" and ask, *gasp*, "how their day is going?!" Disgusting.

Here in the U.S. calling the police only adds chaos to the situation (they may also shoot you) and our neighbors have a mental breakdown if your bushes go 1mm over the property line (they may shoot you as well). THAT, is true class.

In Romania you just rob your neighbors like a true man it’s clear which country is the best

you cant buy spools, this was their choice, and afaik they earn a small portion of the transactions (or maybe steam gets it all idk)

Based on how the costume and fanart event now gives only a normal elegant and not a heirloom it's safe to assume they didn't intend that to happen.

Well, that's rather unfair to those of us that didn't participate in that greed fest.

I am very miffed.

I highly doubt that they "accidently" made every single set using their heirloom versions, and then also decided not to fix it instantly, or the next day, or the next patch, or in the last week

Curious, do the heirloom versions give higher spool payouts when unweaved? (I briefly looked but I don't have the items to confirm, since I unweaved my freebies already and don't recall)

If so, They give exactly the amount needed to to weave another one of the skins. Which would maybe be why? So that people who didn't like what they got could go "I'll get this one instead then!" I know I used mine to swap a maxwell for wormwood's, I had zero spools prior.

heirlooms have triple value, correct.

What should they do? Undo the transactions? They can't, and if they could they wouldn't, or you think everyone would be okay with that? The most reasonable way is just don't repeat the mistake.

Being heirloom was not accidental, it was a gift by Klei so we could unweave it and make whatever skin we wish for. What was unintended is to people sell them at very low prices because they got it for free (That's not the problem you don't need to point that), then some people buying those at large amounts so they can unravel and get new skins for 1/4 the price, without giving anything to Klei. (We need to be realistic, 10% of CENTS is literally nothing).

I’m actually okay with this, the rate at which I earn spools is pretty steady anyway so it’s fine.. I mean I’m not earning spools at the rate people doing this are (obviously) but I’m happy with my 6,500 spools- which I can hold onto for when/if more characters come.

If they had to lower the rarity value on the freebies because people doing like this has hurt their sales then that kinda makes me sad actually.. and (on Xbox One 90% of the games skin sets are on sale for up to 85% off… so obviously- what people has done here has hurt Klei’s income- But rather or not the staff at Klei will ever come in here and admit that is anyone’s guess, that sale ends soon though so act fast if you want to buy some stuff at reduced bolt costs!)

I doubt it actually hurts Klei income but as a company losing money isn't the goal, or maybe they really just don't care that much, they just didn't wanted to give two heirlooms this year (Last year we could only get one halloween skin from the costume/art event). But i'm sure if that's the case they will find other ways like just giving us spools or exclusive skins.

Or it was an expected power move to make the skins on the market cheaper? If that was the case would they not have just given everyone spools? You are running circles around yourself. If it wasnt intentional you would have expected them to atleast ******* say something about it no?

Yeah I posted about this here:

I did the math and normally (during the Halloween sale) the price for all of the Hallowed Nights skins would be 22.98 USD, but buying every item on the Steam market (lowest prices) came to about 9.95 USD.

I don't think it's an exploit and honestly Klei probably doesn't care too much. This happens to a lot of games once they allow the Steam market to be linked to them, but either way Klei is gonna make money so it's probably not a big deal to them.
