Applying spawn protection to players leaving the caves?

Sometimes, the player character will load into the world before the screen fades in, and in some cases there will be enough of a delay that players are already being attacked by the bats that spawn near cave entrances before the player even has a chance to react.

I think it would be a good idea to add spawn protection for a very brief amount of time when transitioning between the Forest/Caves.

I disagree, the player should instead pay attention to what time of day it is and NOT exit the cave until morning when the bats stop spawning.

People could easily use a spawn protection to jump in and out of caves/surface and kill things like hound/depth worm waves.

Your one of the creators of Uncompromising mode, but wanting spawn immunity would be something I would heavily consider Compromising.

Of course- Maybe I’m wrong I can’t say for sure, but your the one creating Mods, you should try it and see if it makes any significant difference first.

Did you even read the whole suggestion? He said only for a brief moment, because there are times that you can't move for a few seconds, but bats can and will likely take away 20 hp and you can't do a thing about it. You play on console so you probably don't get this issue much, but a lot of pc players with low specs do.

So what you mean is if I am down the caves during winter and I have to wait 2/3 of the day to get back to the surface safely? Ok.

Also, "a brief moment" is a brief moment, so you just gonna go down, swing one hit at a depth worm, then go back up, then go back down again? Not only that's time consuming but also annoying. Since we already have light + temperature protection ( you won't overheat/freeze in the circle of light if you exit during dusk/night), it wouldn't hurt to have a small period of damage immunity to prevent bats from doing unfair damage.

Please, next time read the suggestion first before actually saying.

I don't think its fair that a player should die due to having a worse computer, or a hiccup in performance.

I didn’t think it was fair to jump in a Wormhole that was sitting right on top of an Instant death trap in Solo DS either.. but that’s just part of the game-

And I very distinctively recall myself complaining about Bats being all over everywhere wanting Winona’s Spotlights to scare them away- And the response I got from that was Wear a Football Helmet, they are pretty easy to Kill.

I was only providing my input & concerns of why I felt it could be a bad idea- But.. like I said: Your the Mod Creator, try something like that with a Mod.. and see if it makes any huge difference/can be exploited.
