Power troubleshooting, please help

Recommended Posts

I'm having a difficult time with this power issue. neither of the top circuits is taking more than 1000W. The batteries are filling regularly to the rhythm of the smart battery. Still, it's as if the top two are dead. I checked and rechecked for breaks in the wire  or something I got backwards, and couldn't find anything. Is this a bug?

There is no need to chain transformers. You can - and should - connect the small transformers directly to the generators. The large transformer is for using conductive wires.

And mixing heavy-watt wire and conductive wire (as it looks it me) is pointless. The lower tier wire will always be the weakpoint. You need to use joint plates to cross floors

You will not get breaks in a 2kw wire while you produce 1200-1600wat. When there is more demand than the grid can produce, building start getting unpowered the furthest out of the start they are (just from my observations. I haven't tested extensively if something different is happening). Was there anything actually active in the other two lines when you made the screenshot?

What do you mean by "dead" ? There are lot of connected passive objects, they consume energy only if they working. If nobody use dock, no energy consumed

I figured it out. There was confusion when I saw the pumps fluttering on and off. I thought that behavior indicated power complications, but it seems they also flutter on and off rapidly as they run into vent blocking issues. Thanks everyone for taking a look at it.

This is the same for all "outputs" of buildings that get backed up (with the exception of bridges unless its of a different element at the output),

If I am not mistaken, its to stop pumps using 240w of power a pump for small movements of elements such as if your hydroponic tile is using 5g/s to feed its plant (5g or 10kg is alot between pumps for 240w).
