Is there a mod to Retain the Farm Soil after harvesting?

Recommended Posts

I found the fact you need to till every farm soils over again when you want to plant a new seed to be really tedious. The whole taking care your plants thing is already super complicated and tedious. And the retilling soil thing is just nothing but a chore to keep going for.

Is there a mod to make this tedious process go away, like making farm soil retain itself after harvesting.

This is definitely the part of the new farming update I find the most tedious and frustrating, I've actually stopped farming for now and am back to just relying on other food sources (which is honestly easier and better for Wig anyway) and generally only farm peppers and garlic for spices on occasion.

On PS4 it isn't very fun having to retill every time you want to plant , its more time consuming and boring than any other part of farming. If the tilled holes stayed there after harvesting plants I would never stop planting seeds.

Hang on... does Wormwood not require tilled spots to plant in farm soil? You can just plop seeds down in the farm plot without using the Rake tool thingy at all? I assume this is the same on console?

That's correct, yes. He can plant crops anywhere he wants, but if he doesn't plant them in farmland they suffer ungood because only farmland soil can have nutrients and water.

Ah that's dope, might swap to him next time I'm planning on doing a bunch of farming
