Has been removed from Epic Games??

Recommended Posts

Since today's afternoon, I had Oxygen Not Included on the Epic Games launched marked as "repair". I've tried everything, and it doesn't works. I can't uninstall it. I've searched for the game and anythng appears, also in the web. WTF has been removed or something or it's just a bug? Because I want my money back.

Btw thx if anyone reads and can help <3

It's happens to me few time with another game. I find the cause is one of my hard drive could disconnect sometimes (the one with the game on it). Look if you can see the install folder on your hard drive. Could happens also with micro disconnection

Thanks, but what should I do. I mean, I know where the installer, I've tried to move it to another carpet. I thought I can do another partition to install the game on it and see if it's my disk fault or the launcher's falut. Because with steam I have no problems, but with epic games I can't play any game because of this error

I found the Epic launcher to be unreliable and the Epic support to be clueless. For me, "The Outer Worlds" could not launch anymore. It just failed with an error code. The Epic support was completely useless and apparently that error code was meaningless. What I ended up doing (and what may work here as well) is that I started the game directly, bypassing the launcher. That worked nicely. No idea what happens with updates though.

My personal conclusion is to not buy in the Epic store again, even if that means waiting for some games. They are obviously trying to do things on the cheap or they are just really incompetent with regards to technology. Probably both. It is surprising how dysfunctional large organizations can get, but I have seen it time and again as an IT security consultant. The Epic store seems to have that problem.

In my case, i turn off my computer and  disconnect/reconnect my hard drive. But if you can see your hard drive or the trouble continue, maybe desinstall epic launcher and manually all files and all epic game manually and restart with a new and clean installation

EGS currently doesn't have linux in their sights so I've let all those free games go ... Anyhow, I don't mind stoking the fire a bit and show a little screenshot (spoiler alert: no ONI)

I've been running Linux since the '90s.  The last few years have been great, since most games can now be run with Linux as your operating system.

I do have a question about your screenshot.. you're showing that Epic Games is selling Griftlands, but has removed the Oxygen Not Included launcher? ... Yeah, I'd stop using Epic Games too.  If I buy a game, I don't want to have to jump through a bunch of hoops to keep playing it.

I don't have an EGS account so I wouldn't be able to tell about their policies about games you've already bought. The only worthwhile thing there was to do a search for Klei and find out that only Griftlands was available for purchase.

The plot thickens when we look at recent news and see they're getting mixed in GOG Galaxy...
