I thought it had to be steel? Anyone know when this change was made?

According to the wiki pneumatic doors can be made from everything and they wont pass. I think thats an oversight by the devs.

When they eat, they can excrete regolith inside a pneumatic door.  Then they can burrow right through. So use at your own risk.

No idea, always had to use steel doors in the past. Very sneaky change.

Can confirm you used to have to use steel doors in the past, and I posted a bug report around when it was changed. It happened in the series of patches that tried to fix critters escaping through doors set to auto when a dupe held them opened to pass through and I guess this was a byproduct of that. Happened around June 2019 or so.

Doesn't that require the regolith block to actually sit in the door, so as long as your doors are setup so the regolith to falls out of them you should be ok?
