THIS! I think a big problem people have with their ships is how dangerous it is to even land the ship. I don't recall rafts dismantling in real life just for landing on sand.

If we are going to be realistic here, using an anchor while your masts are wide open will snap them in half. I still want landing to be a bit more smoother, though.

The trick is to drop your anchor when you get close, then pull up your sails when you get close enough to hop off.

You are right but this don't fix how weak are the ships, and thats is why people use ships to make  bridges to another place or islands.

Add buoys can help like a ship armor against some hits (Side hits), and don't looks OP or crazy, because we still have to deal with all the sea mobs.

You know... Crab King, Malbatross, Cookie Cutter, Gnarwail, Wavey Jones, the new plants...

Like this idea. If you can make a sea bridge with bouy lines, that would be a perfect compromise for devs and players.
