Would you want more utility from the Walrus Tusk gem?

More friend-based orthodontics?

  1. 1. Would you want them in more craftables?

  2. 2. Which ideas sound appealing to you

    • Hammered for bone shards
    • New craftables
    • Crock-Pot Ingredient
    • Replace Bone Shards in Eyebrella to advocate for both Winter exploration and fighting
    • These suck (none of them)
    • Other (list in comments)
    • I said no last question

Look, I know that Walrus artifacts are the single most important form of gem in the game, I know that; what I'm asking here is if you guys would want something to make this game 1000000000000x better and possibly beat Pokemon as the new highest grossing game of all time.

I won't mind that having more craftables or it being used in cooking. You kinda roll your eyes whenever they drop when you and others already got the cane.

It'll probably be something that can help you warm your character up if it's used for cooking.

New craftables and food recipes are fine to me. I'd also like the option to smash all horns, teeth and antlers to make bone shards. In private worlds they tend to pile up so ridiculously there's no way to use most of them and the rest is just food for lure plants. Bone shards on the other hand are rarer when there's no noobs dying around all the time. But I really do not like the idea of needing tusks for eyebrella, even if it's just one tusk.

Eyebrella and walking cane are my favorite quality of life items and I really want to have them. However, sometimes (most of the time in my case, because I have really bad luck) there's only 1 walrus camp in the whole world, which makes getting tusks really annoying even if the only use for them is walking cane. I know it's still perfectly possible to get enough tusks for canes and the eyebrella, but with only 1 camp you can kill MacTusk 6 times at most in one winter, which means that pretty much has to be your first priority that requires planning and calculating and if you do not want it to get real tedious you should probably build your base near the camp even if there's nothing else you care about near it. And still it's not guaranteed you get tusks at all. Personally I don't need to have any more requirements I have to fulfill to find a good camping spot, or more crucial missions given to me to keep busy. It's better if the new uses for tusks are for late game items, not making the first good early game items harder to get. There's already lots of things that need to be done in the first year and usually the earliest chance I get to chill a bit is only in late spring or early summer. If I had to get more tusks in my typical only-one-walrus-world to craft even the first QoL items I'd probably get a feeling I have to rush things, and for me it makes playing stressfull. We need more stuff to do in late game, there's no need to make the first year even busier than it already is.

I'd rather want to see an alternative to get Walking Canes or Walrus Tusks like we had in Winter's Feast.

Joining during Winter only to get a tusk for you, doing ~20 rollbacks to get 6 tusks from a solo tusk world, or regenerating solo tusks worlds gets boring after some time. Updating MacTusk's AI to make him keep running even if he's too far away from his camp wouldn't hurt either.

There are already plenty of interesting items to craft.

A lot of them are either (usually both) :

- Way too expensive or weak to even be considered.

- Outclassed by cheaper/more effective items.

I'd rather have them refreshed instead of having new ones.

What i iknow is tuat when i play with friends we get only 1 camp so in some worlds we needed like 3 years to get 1 cane for each player meanwhile my last 3 or 4 soloworlds get the 3 campa set piece...

Klei should add icebergs to the sea so you can look after more walrus camps.

Also, if they make easier to get the cane they should add more fights with lazy explorer mechanics, i love to telepuff
