Glassyfo
Somehow my natural gas gens are getting damaged and I have no idea why. They're being fed pure natural gas at 120C and are being cooled to -7C. I'm using heavy wire and the load isn't that high, plus this isn't happening with my coal gens on the same line. PhailRaptor
The Wire is not involved, as it is the NatGas Generator itself that is damaged. Is it possible they are receiving something other than NatGas? That's the best way to damage a pipe or duct fed building -- giving it the wrong element. Soulwind
It almost has to be a bad element gas getting in. Post a save maybe? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/114908-damaged-nat-gas/#findComment-1298192 Share on other sites
Sasza22
What temperature does nat gas turn into liquid? I can`t tell if the gas pipes are insulated but if they are the gas might liquify in the generator damaging it. But i`m prety sure the temperature needs to be much lower than -7oC. KittenIsAGeek
Yeah, the OP shows us electricity and automation, but not the gas pipes. Since temperatures are within tolerance and the power grid isn't being damaged, I suspect that the trouble is with the fuel. However, I can only speculate, as that is not information we have been given to work with. Pelontriques
something that isn't natural gas is probably getting into the ventilation. scrub out every single pipe when possible. Glassyfo
Yeah I initially ruled out element damage because my main source of nat gas is a pure chamber, but I forgot about my oil wells. Thanks all for giving me another perspective!
