cblack Posted September 1, 2019 Share Posted September 1, 2019 I finally went to the temporal tear today, and I was expecting a cutscene/cinematic based on reading other posts. However, I got nothing more than a journal entry and a colony achievement :(. When I went to look at the colony achievement, I noticed a big red 'X' next to 'Achievements' and it says "Platform achievements cannot be unlocked because a debug command was used in this colony." I have a million questions... Am I totally screwed? I never did anything in debug mode, and I only entered it by accident as it's very easy to accidentally hit backspace when you mean to press backslash. Is there some way to turn off that flag? Was this what killed the cutscene, or is that just not working or not present? Oh, and finally, why did my dupe come back from the temporal tear? The game made it sound like it was a one-way trip in several places. beowulf2010 Posted September 1, 2019 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Hitting backspace has nothing to do with your colony being locked out of achievements. If you have the debug enabling file in the directory, you're SooL on storing am achievements. Remove/rename that file and your next base will be good to go. cpy Posted September 2, 2019 Share Posted September 2, 2019 I had to use debug tool to save my dupes from bugs so many times. When my dupe take a swim in hot lake, he just gets stuck endlessly falling and not even appear to be downed and noone can rescue him. Sometimes it happens on ladders where dupe gets stuck on it and can't move. Anyone else had this problem? I had to use debug mode to save them, I hope my achievements will work, but I turn off debug mode after I save dupe. One of the two will (should?) not change if you have the debug.txt in your games folder.
