ClumsyPenny Posted July 19, 2019 Share Posted July 19, 2019 Hey! I've been working on a base in Shipwrecked (with RoG and Hamlet merging) and I just got finished with the first island! I'm not using any mods or anything, so this is all possible to do in the base game. The plan is gonna be to eventually build something cool on EVERY single island, though that's gonna be a lot of work! Here's a bunch of screenshots: Map: Spoiler I chose this island because it's right next to the Volcano, Yaarctopus and Slot Machine (I didn't even notice my world had this until after I decided to keep it, so I got pretty lucky!). Dock with Village: Spoiler Just a small dock with a fisherman village. I tried giving each house some personality by building things next to them that hint at what the residents like doing. General area with assorted things: Spoiler Just an area where I prototype stuff or drop all the random tools I might need. The Slanty Shanty in this picture is for storage, here's how it looks inside: A bit messy, but I'm working on it >_> My collection of birds, it includes every possible bird to cage! Skyworthy: Spoiler General farms or decorational areas: Spoiler An automated snakeskin farm. I don't particularly need snakeskin now, but I might in the future and I wanted to make use of the natural snake bushes. A dragoon farm. The houndii take care of them easily. I hope you liked it! Here's a pic of the world gen I mentioned, the rest of the world is pretty uninteresting (and not even fully explored), but the goal is to make an unique habitat for every island! I am looking forward to it. I also had that idea and made a big Pig Summer Island with Wildbores in all kinds of different hats. You can attack them with an Ice Staff, Eyeshot or Sleep Dart to catch them. Also he doesnt just sapwn in Hurrican Season, he can be encountered the whole year. Also I switched to Willow, the nearsightedness was getting too annoying to deal with (and sorry for the rain, once it happens it seems to last for like a whole year... the game is a bit buggy sometimes :p). Savanna island with Water Beefalos: Spoiler A pen for the water beefalos, but they seem to be missing... Oh! They're just taking a bath Some farm houses! And some farms, of course. Jungle river that goes into a mountain: Spoiler Hmmm... where does this river go? To the golden city entrance, of course! Some shrines, each item represents someone who helped me with inspiration or game knowledge The palace holds all the treasure, but be careful of the watchful guardians. The rest of the cave has its own fauna it seems. Even a magma pool. Pig city island: Spoiler The mayor's residence. Fancy! A bunch of fancy houses near the mayor. The centerpiece of town, a beautiful christmas tree! The city's park. Just some regular houses. And a bunch of shops. The poorer part of town... Even poorer... Where all the pigs dump their garbage. Oh hey! They're pigs too. Oh, this part of town is still being worked on... And finally, a teaser of the next island being worked on! I raided the ruins completely about 7 times, counting all the houndii I have. It's not even that much thulecite, I still have a chest full (and more) even if I keep crafting the suit and crown with it too.
