Normal traps can kill spyders?

I've heard talk that a normal trap can catch a spider and kill it do you get the loot and is it ture?

Have always been like this, as far as I know.Also, just like when you use it to get rabbits, it is sometimes activated by proximity without catching the prey. And again, sometimes, it gives a second silk/meat when activated.

I think that's a bug actually, that I think they're aware of. Could be fixed soon.

Yeah, it's kinda been out since the game came out. It's a really old trick, not a bug.
