Make the rockets orbit the asteroid during a comet shower

There are no satelites observing the sky so how the hell am i supposed to open the bunker doors for the rocket?

With the space scanner of course. Its a dual system. Fresh build its set to detect meteors. But when you have build a rocket with a command capsule, you can choose to set scanners to detect rockets instead. 

If you have build a rocket, and cant select it in the scanner, you run into the not-refresh bug. Just save the game, and reload.

What are you talking about? Of course I know satelites can be adjusted to detect rockets. But during the meteor shower all of them are blocked by closed bunker doors.

The wont get blocked. Rocket scanner work all the time. As a matter of fact, my rocket scanners are placed somewhere enclosed to protect them. They have no open space above them.

If we are going to be pedantic about this, then a satellite is something in orbit. The moon is a natural satellite to Earth. The building you refer to is actually a parabolic antenna. Some people refer to them as satellite discs, which isn't actually the official name, but I guess we could accept it as slang. They are however not satellites because the antennas aren't in orbit and only whatever is in orbit can be referred to as a satellite. Using the name used by the game would also be a good solution. They are called "Space Scanners".

Yes I know it's minor because we all know what you mean, but using the correct names are important anyway because that will allow other users to search for something on this topic later. If we rename items and concepts for each thread, searching becomes significantly less useful.

As for the problem itself, I have nothing to add, which haven't already been said.

I didn't know this, but I'm reluctant to use it because I think it's unrealistic.

That depends on how you imagine how the system works. 

The meteor scanner relys on sending a signal aus, computing the return, just like radar. And this needs a line of sight.

The rocket scanner on the other hand could act like a passive radio,dish, receiving a signal send from the command capsule. This could work in a room as well.
