Why is oxygen density wrong?

Answer : O2

;)

Let me be clear: In game density is 16, while it should be 32, exactly because oxygen forms O2 molecules. So for example steam should be lighter than oxygen. I relied on that in one of my designs only to find out that it doesn't work, because in game steam sinks in oxygen (my first playthrough).

Why does it even matter? They have a certain atomic mass in the game and that's how it works with the game mechanics. If we are going to be realistic about it, then the real answer is that the game is on an astroid and as such everything should be weightless.

Because when most of the densities are realistic, it creates an expectation that all of them are. Sure it's a game, but I would then much prefer if they used their own numbers for all the densities (or used fictional gases). That way it would be clear they are not supposed to be realistic.

I get your point, but that game is so far away from realism in many aspects, that such stuff is not important for me, but perhaps it's changed in final version.
