It would allow saving of resources on long automation wires but more importantly it could be used for communication with rockets in space. A rocket could give a signal when it`s approaching landing so you wouldn`t have to rely on your scanner network. Basically we just need a new antenna building that sends an active signal on a set frequency and all other antennas set to that frequency go active as well. Coolthulhu Posted April 22, 2019 Share Posted April 22, 2019 +1 for wireless itself -1 for base station. I want wireless to send signals to the other side of base, not just to avoid spaghetti. Spaghetti avoidance is not a bad idea in itself, but it can be made much better by allowing it to actually do more than one job. Also, base station suggests that signals might cost energy to process in any way, which would be bad design in a game where flipping a sensor is done in zero game time, only requiring player action.
