"Learning" : skills or skills points?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Before QoL Upgrade Mk3 the Learning bonus give "Research speed" and "Skill Leveling" that increased the leveling speed for the Duplicant's statistics (dig, supply, etc.).

With QoL Mk3, we have a Skill system so does that bonus affect this new system or still the statistics?

I think it's a little confusing.

Yes, the attribute skill and skill point thing is very confusing for me. The skill point should be renamed to something like experience point. It actually reflects experience and have nothing to do with attribute skills like digging, farming...

Skills (as in things like Strength and Digging) have been renamed into "attributes" in the latest QoL III patch. I don't think there's confusion anymore.

Empirical data shows learning increases skill gain.

But I could just be a passive feedback loop:

1.The learning attribute is increased with the skill points.

2.The other attributes level up faster.

3. Your duplicant will be able to complete more tasks each cycle.

4. You gain more skill points.

(Not sure if learning does directly increase skill gain.)

I don't see a major difference between 0 learning and 10 learning. I think the feedback loop you're talking about is what we see here. Athetics is particularly useful because it reduces the amount of time dupes do nothing.
