What happens when you have a Dupe with an atmo suit pass through a jet suit dock?

Recommended Posts

I`m pretty sure they drop the atmo suit at the checkpoint as they can`t dock it.

But there`s a setting that doesn`t allow dupes to pass through if they have the wrong suit. It`s the clearance. Default is "always" but you can set it to "vacancy" then they won`t be allowed to pass.

That's only true if all docks have suits in them. Otherwise they do what they would with "always", and drop the suit. That is, if they're coming from the front.

If they have an atmo suit on and are coming from behind, they will ignore the jetsuit dock.

OP, if you're looking to use both jetsuits and atmo suits, but in different areas, something like this will work:

Tube access optional; but if you put one in, make sure they can only use it without suits on.

I have to double test that but i`m pretty sure they won`t pass even if there are free docks of the wrong kind when set on "vacancy". I didn`t have a single suit dropped since i set it that way and i often had jet dupes being closer to atmo docks after finishing their task.

I`ll launch the game later today and check the pathing for atmo and jet suits and post a screenshot.

I would never make my duplicants go through a checkpoint while wearing another suit. Next thing I know Herold will attempt to divide his meals by 0 in an attempt to get unlimited food!

Yeah you were right. Sorry to cause confusion.
